EMH, but of course. Couldn't do it any other way. That's me, that's me!!Eeyore2003 said:I love the "it's not a pretty picture thing"!!! You saw my "schedule" for our upcoming trip next week, well, here's a typical 5-10 year ago schedule with kids. EMH of course!!!
5:30 me up to get bathroom, 6:00 kids up
7:15 at gate front of the line
7:45 OH JOY-they let us in to the hub!!! BIG PLUS
GET TO THAT ROPE KIDS
8:00 rope drop
Space Mountain, Buzz, Peter Pan and in front of the Fronteirland hub rope (shortest route) by 8:50
9:00 Rope drop
Splash, Thunder, Haunted Mansion
BREATH and walk calmly to Mickey's Philharmagic (in more recent years) and then Pirates!!! LOL
Not pretty indeed!!! Boy have we changed huh??? To tell you the truth, it DID takes us a few times to get the "relaxed mode" down to a science. It IS a very hard transition!!!
Oh my goodness, that's me. We don't have kidlets so I do get that extra 30 mins. of sleep so I get up at 6:00am (oh yea! It's like getting up to go to work
) but everything else is ME!!
7:45 OH JOY-they let us in to the hub!!! BIG PLUS
I know what you mean!!
BIG PLUS!!I did read your schedule. It does indeed sound lovely! And that's the thing, I know it's going to be hard for me to transition. Because last year when DH and I went on an impromptu trip (as in Monday, "Do you want to go to Disney?" and on Wednesday of that same week we were checking into OKW) I told ourselves (ok, I mainly was trying to convince myself) that this would be a take it as it comes trip. Whatever struck our fancy that's what we'd do
trip. I'm embarrased
to say that's not how it went at all.
I was still waking us up at 6:00am to get to the parks reasoning that we'd be back in the afternoon for naps . . . It was like I had no self control and Disney mania(c) took over.
Did you ever hear that comedy skit about how men won't stop on a road trip for anythingand if you do actually convince them to stop they time you and tell you you only have 3 minutes and 8 seconds to get back to the car because they have to be able to say that they made it in 14 hours and 2 seconds. 5 seconds better than last year!
Well, that's almost how I feel. Like, I have to be able to say we did Buzz, Space Mountain, Peter Pan, BTMRR, Splash Mountain and Pirates all before lunch. Who cares? Who am I in competition with anyway? It's not like my score is being posted on the MK information station and I win some prize.OK, I've rambled on enough. Thanks for sharing your schedule and thanks for letting me know there IS hope for me.
