Are you a WDW night owl?

Do they still do the "kiss goodnight" at MK? I've never been there for it, but have read about it here on the DIS. Would love to experience it sometime!

Yes!, but I don't think they do it every night, and what we saw this year differed from what we saw some years ago. To see it, you have to stay past park closing. We saw it this year, because we were among the last to ride 7D, then made a quick walk through the Confectionary just before it closed.

The Main St shops stay open about half an hour past park closing.

Several times we stayed late and did not see it. (prior to this year)

One year we missed our ADR at Teppan Edu. I had mixed up my ADR times and we were an hour late. The hostess told us to come back a 9pm and we could be seated. We returned for dinner and enjoyed our meal as one of the last in the restaurant that night. When we left, the park was empty and we slowly made our way back through future world and out to the bus stops. Its was so magical and peaceful walking through the world showcase with just my family.

We like riding Splash Mountain near closing time. Last August we rode 4 times in a row with no wait!

In November 2013 we had a Jungle Cruise boat all to ourselves. Three of us walked right up to the ride during Wishes and got on, probably the last ones for the night. It's not that JC is spectacular in the dark, but it was really neat for it to be THAT empty.
That same night, my cousin and I got on Carousel of Progress as the park was closing. There was some grumbling from a CM, but we were let in and were the only 2 people in the theater. It was almost eerie.

We tend to only do the fireworks or be in the parks in the evenings if there is something specific on, think next time we might take more time to explore in the evenings.

I definitely am! The later, the better! While we still get up on the earlier side when there, we by no means rush out the door for rope drop. I just love how the parks feel at night and how the atmosphere changes. Besides this past NYE, my last two trips were in January so we did not get very late nights. I am looking forward to 2am at MK this June though!!

Wanted to add: the Kiss Goodnight is fantastic!! I was so excited the first time I saw it, since I had heard so much about it but always managed to miss it. We were in the right place at the right time - right next to the Partners statue in an empty park. It was beautiful!

I LOVE MK at night. With the girls being so young previous years, it was hard to do.

Last time at CR we did MK at night, left the girls at CR and went till 1 or 2 am (whatever time it closed with EMH that night). Did BTMRR 10 times in a row in under an hour. Last 4 times we didn't even have to get off, I would have gone a couple more times since that kept happening but my wife was over it by then, lol.

I've done SM back to back to back before like that too but not in 15 years. My wife doesn't like SM so I only ride it once nowadays... plus SM is getting really rickitty and rough. It needs some major work.

Nothing like walking the park with virtually no one around. Likewise walking World Showcase at the tail end of a EMH is great but it's never that late at night.

Never felt the "wow" of DHS on a EMH night.

AK after close is very cool. two trips ago we got out of dinner from Yak and Yeti an hour after park closing and just roamed around for about an hour, no one ever said a word. That was really cool, it's so nice to see some of the stuff without all those silly people in the way.

We were probably right there with you! We actually got stuck on BTMRR last August on our last night in the park, right before closing and had to be walked off of the ride.
