I don't know if I'm shy...... I'm just not controversial here on the DIS. I like to keep my experience here mostly fun.

I'm not shy about posting, but I agree with some of the others posting here--I don't feel like getting flamed! The people that post on the political threads can be really mean to each other. That's one of the reasons I left another message board--when someone disagreed with someone, they insulted them. That's not why I post. I do read the political threads. Before my trip, I read the other boards every day, but since I've been back, I can't read the theme park boards--I'm too jealous. I'll read them now and again to see if there are questions to answer or new suggestions, but since I'm not sure when I'm going back, I don't want to be green with envy reading other people's countdowns.....at least on the community board I can read about other things than Disney. It's nice knowing that we do have that common interest through.

I'm sorry this got long! But I do love these boards--I'll be here, lurking......

I used to be (believe it or not), but I got over it pretty quickly when I realized people can't really see me when I post. I'm pretty shy IRL.

I think I'm odd, lol. I'm not a shy poster in as much as I am a shy reader. I don't have a problem speaking up for a controversial issue if I feel strongly but I have a hard time coming back and reading the replies that follow.

If you stick around long enough you will figure out who you can expect to see your side, disagree and state why, or just belittle your point. It gets easier to see who's posts to just skip right over.

I feel I am not so much a shy poster, but a reluctant one. But the Community Board is my fav I check here almost daily. I love it. But getting flamed does sting and I take it personally. But I really do not post too much, I lurk a lot. But I also post on the Disneyland board since I live so close and have an interest. I feel comfortable in that area like here.
