I've been noticing that people comment that they aren't morning people so they head to the parks later (than opening), or they are morning people so they make sure to be 1st in line to charge the parks.

Personally, I'm pretty used to getting up well before 8am, but I do not consider myself a morning person. I'd sleep in til 10am if I could. And what are vacations for but sleeping in?? I happen to throw that whole idea out the window when it comes to DL though. Despite exhaustion I find I am up and anxious to get everyone going when it's still dark out (5:00am when the park has MM at 7:00am). I just can't stay in bed when I know DL right there waiting for me.:rotfl: My group-mates usually aren't the perkiest people when I "accidentlly" wake them by the noise I make in the bathroom.

How about you?

I am totally a morning person. I get up at 5am M-F and 6 on Saturday, Sunday is my "sleep in" day. That being said just because I get up early doesn't make me a morning person. It is that I am much more awake and energized in the morning verses the evening. When I finally get to sit down at night, usually 7:30 or 8 I don't want to do anything but sit on my but. Then I like to go to bed around 9 or 10ish. I am not a night owl, that is for sure.

I don't really consider myself a morning person, but if I'm in Disneyland I'm more then happy to get up early. Just make sure to give me food and caffeine and there wont be any problems. :rotfl:

I am NOT a morning person. Not unless I'm still up from the night before. (though I tend to feel barfy when I do that, even though I like being up)

But at Disneyland? Oohhhhhh sooooo a morning-at-Disneyland person! I feel envigorated, energized! I love the feel of the air in the esplanade, the feel of the parks, and just everything about it.

But I'm stuck by my hubby and son, who do like mornings but sleep in at Disneyland! And then when I've tried to just whisper "it's OK, don't get up, let's just meet later", they have tantrums and insist on getting up! And make me late!

You guys can see why I took that solo trip, yes? :goodvibes

I am always the first to get up and be ready to go to the parks early - my family not so much! I always say I am going to go ahead without them and they can come later when they are ready... Maybe this year I will! :confused3

But then again I have made all our PS for early in the morning so if they want to eat I guess they will get up and go with me! :cool1:

I am definately a morning person--especially at Disneyland. And so is my dad--so this worked out fine with him last time. My mom--well, not so much. It will be a challenge to get her up and going this time around, but I promsied that if she got up early, it would make it all the more relaxing in the afternoon. ;)

Not even for DL am I a morning person. I have to be a morning person everyday for work, but when I'm on vacation, no way! We've been to DL too many times to care whether we're in the parks at opening or at 10AM after a nice breakfast. We prefer having a relaxing vacation!

I am just like you. DH is definitely a night owl and DS, well I'm still not sure. Anyway, I find that the time change helps them both because 8 am in Disneyland is 10 am at home and this works out great for everyone! I just have to get to the parks early!

I don't normally consider myself a morning person, but like pp, I am at Disney. And even if I wasn't anxious to get a move on, my dh is a morning person. He likes to get to the park as fast as we can get us and 6 kids showered and out the door. :)

I'm not a morning person and DL is no exception.

When we went in April (during all the kids springbreak, big mistake) for our honeymoon and we had no problems getting on all of the rides we wanted to each day, DESPITE the crowds. We just utilized the fastpass system and I read up on HydroGuy's tips before I went.

I love Disney and everything, (I tear up just walking up to the gates and hearing the music) but I like my sleep and to just "go with it" I don't plan meals or anything I just decide when I get there. And even with all that I got a table at Yamabuki and at Goofy's kitchen with only one day notice and a call to the rez line.

But alas to each their own :)

im not but have to be some times and at dl im up doing mm tho on our day off i wont be up nearly as early and non mm days wont be up near as early

I'm a night owl, that's my alone time. However, I have to be up at 6 a.m. daily for getting the kids and myself to school, so I have to try to get myself to bed by 10 or 11 at the latest, or I really start to drag and lose my temper! And, I'm not that person who can get up at 6 on weekdays and then sleep till 11 on weekends. Nope, my little eyelids pop open by habit, even without the alarm clock, right at 6.

This is all good when it comes to Disneyland; I'm just getting up at my usual time! :woohoo: Charge to the parks!

I'm definitely not a morning person, except when I go to Disneyland! Now, that doesn't mean I get up at the crack of dawn and stand to wait for rope drop, it just means that I get up a whole lot earlier than I would at home, and I do it with a smile! Morning is my favorite time of day to be in Disneyland.

I am totally a morning person!
Unfortunately, I am stuck with a family of people who are not and are difficult to get up on the morning.
Every trip at Disneyland I tell my children that we are going to get up early and be at the gates at opening and it never happens.
Even if I manage to get them up early, they move like snails.
The only time we ever got to Disneyland before opening was when the clock radio in our room was one hour ahead and we didn't know it until we got to the gates at Disneyland!
That is one of the reasons I am so looking forward to my next trip with my best friendn only.
We are going to be up early every morning and at those Disneyland gates before they open!

I'm NOT a morning person. However I am while at DL!! Sleeping in isn't worth missing out on those precious hours there. So it's early rising for us then.

Same for me Mouse13!! The only hard thing is staying in the park till closing, since midnight there is 2 am for us!!

But Disney at night is my favorite time, I just love all the twinkly lights!!

vacation and even on the weekends, I sleep in. I feel very fortunate that I have a family that loves to sleep in too. We usually stay on site and have yet to make a appearance in the park before 10:00am.

I wake up way early for DL, and so much easier then when it is to go to work. I work hard to save for my trip and I dont want to waste any time . I"ll sleep when I die!

since this is about early morrnings. any one know what time you have to be at chip and dales breakfast to make sure you see them ? ive heard they leave at 10.30 or 11 is that corect

A night owl by heart and a morning person because I have to.:sad2:

the only consolation about our trip is that even if I get up at 6 California time, it will be 7 at home and that means I will get to sleep in 1 WHOLE HOUR. How lucky am I?
