I've been a Disney Visa cardholder for years now. I thoroughly enjoy all the benefits, especially the 6 months free financing for Disney Vacation package purchases.:thumbsup2

Just wondering how many DIS'ers feel the same. Are you a Disney Visa cardholder too?

I voted no, although my actual response would have been "not allowed".

I was interested in getting one years ago as nothing is cooler than having a card with something Disney on it, but as a Canadian I am not eligible.

No, I was going to apply but they wouldn't do the 200 Disney Reward points and I decided it wasn't worth the few days extra booking to have another credit inquiery.
I was an authorized user on my moms we we did FD in 07 and it was nice..

I actually own one credit card, and it is this one. (I am not a believer in them) but, have it for discounts to Disney, and glad I did b/c I got the Kids stay, play, and dine for free!!!!:cool1::cool1:

Yes - the kids stay and eat free promo offered for the summer (I believe this is still only to Disney Visa holders) was great -saved us a bunch of money!!

Used to be, but no longer am. We didn't use the card often enough for it to be very beneficial. We don't have any credit cards, actually...just prefer our debit card.

Yes, we have been using it for a few years now and we only use it for the purchases that we used to use our debit card for. This way we are not charging more then we would normally in a month, we pay it off monthly, so there is no interest, it keeps our money in the bank longer then it would when we used our debit card which is good for emergencies and we get disney specials and disney reward dollars.

I got it about 14 months ago and use it for everything. I pay it off every month, so no interest. No fees. And, it looks cute. I have a good few rewards racked up already, so it's like them paying me to use it. I know I could get another rewards card and get a better % back, but this keeps my dh thinking that it's fine to go to WDW every couple of year :-)

We have two!!! We got the 2nd one last year because we got a $100 gift card with first purchase.

And, because we own DVC, we can purchase our add ons and get 6 months, 0% interest which is great!!!

YUP! :thumbsup2

I have one, the dh has one (we originally got rewards $$)
We both have good amount of reward $$.
I just requested and got another one, $200. this time :cool1:

We pay NO interest and have no fees, ever so we are :woohoo:
I try and use it for Everything instead of cash and then just pay it off before its due :thumbsup2

I'm a Charter Cardholder. It's one of 3 cards that I have but it's the only one that I use. I use it for everything that I can and pay it off every month. I use it the way a credit card should be used and am never late paying it so I don't have fees or interest. Their customer service has always been awesome and I totally recommend this card. My daughter and I have a trip planned for September and I don't have to worry about spending money since I have plenty of Disney Reward Dollars.

I love my disney visa card, but hate Chase. I got the card about 4 years ago and used the 6 mos no interest and my points for a trip in 2007. But Chase stinks. I had another card with them that had a promotional rate offer that I took advantage of. I transferred a car loan to this card for the lower rate. Two years into paying it off Chase decided to increase the minimum required payment. When I called Chase to try to keep the same terms I was told they couldn't help me. I was never late on this or any other payment and I always paid more than the minimum payment. Additionally, my husband and I both have mid 700 credit ratings. The service rep told me that it was nothing about me personally that made them make this change. They were doing it to millions of card holders and it was non-negotiable. Even when I threatened to payoff the balance and close all of my Chase accounts, they still wouldn't deal with me. So I did just that, I paid off the balance of that card and stopped using any Chase cards.

It was a tough transition, because it turns out that all of the credit cards I had were with Chase. We are planning a trip to Disney in October and I still have rewards points on my card. I will use the card to book the trip and redeem my rewards points, but if I can help it, Chase will never get another dime of interest out of me.

I would only apply if I got the $200 offer. I hate Chase and would then close it after that.

Yes, I have been for years now. I also do my banking with chase so we have the Disney Debit Card too!!! :)

Chase is not the best to deal with as others have said, and they are stingy with the rewards, but I still love it 'cause it's Disney. We don't use it that much when we're not planning a trip(use something else with better rewards), but when we are we use it for EVERYTHING and pay it off. I currently have the 3x offer so I'm putting everything i can think of on there( car insurance, utility bills, dance school tuition). Of course we only spend $$ that we have to spend, no going into debt on it.

luvdisney00 - Did you get a 3x offer on anything? I got one but it's only on grocery stores, gasoline, dining & hotels - plus you must spend $1000 in those categories before the 3x kicks in, so not much of a perk for me :confused3 Lucky you if you got it on all purchases, that would work way better for us.

Yes! I was lucky enough to get the 3x on anything over $500. It is a good deal, especially since Disney REFUSES to send me any kind of pin and I am currently booked for Aug. at rack rate.:scared1:. I could do the kids play thig, but only 1 of my 3 kids is under 10 so I'm hoping for FD or some kind of better fall deal. Next week I'll re-evaluate, but for now I'm trying to rack up those Visa points!
