Are You 23?

I've heard various rumors about it. I think it is going to end up being something small, as in them releasing 23 disney DVD's that day or something (which has been suggested that, that is what it means). They aren't really playing it up enough for it to be something huge.

I saw posters at the parks last week saying "Are You 23". Other than that...not a clue!

You actually got a Mickey Monitor in the MAIL? We have been passholders for three years and we have gotten TWO. And one of those I had to call and ask them to send! How did you get them to send it??

We actually just got one two days ago or so. It was our first one, but we have only been passholders since August.

I love Disney mail. I read the Mickey Monitor from front page to last page as soon as I got it yesterday. To the person that asks how you get it ... I don't know?!?!?!?! We became Annual Passholders and they just started showing up in the mail.

There are numerous rumors about this "Are you 21?" promo. I signed up for the email notification. One rumor I heard was that it will be a Disney club that you pay a fee. Then, you are able to purchase special "club only" merchandise and other perks. Supposedly, Disney is trying to give something back to it's die-hard fans. Note, the above it just a rumor. Only time will tell ...

I did google it and all I find is that all the discussion boards are talking about it. And I do mean all of the Disney discussion boards! In fact that those are the only things listed when I put - Disney "are you 23?".

I would expect it to be a DVD related promo as March 10th is a Tuesday, and that is the SOS (strict on sale) day for most DVD releases.

I don't know if this is of any significance but that is the day Pinnochio is scheduled for DVD release, and it was originally released on Feb. 23rd, 1940.

I've heard that 23 movies are being released on Blue-Ray. Big whoop, IMO! I don't know if that's it, though. There are tons of rumors flying around.

March 10th is the day of the stockholders meeting...
there's rumors that Disney is going to announce that they'll release 23 blu-ray discs (though they're probably not actually releasing them that day - wouldn't make sense since the distribution companies would know by now)
Also rumors around the "fan club"
I don't think the blu-ray release really makes sense...the slogan isn't "do you have 23?" - it's "are you 23?" - so I think the club makes more sense. *shrugs*
