Are We Wound a Little Too Tight Here Lately?

I am in a double pissy mood--besides losing Sandcass :sad2: , I found out that someone got our credit card #, phone #, and address and made some charges. Of course we won't have to pay them, but it still bugs me that someone was able to do this. They didn't just get the #, but the other personal info. :furious:

MouseWorshipin, I've been staying away from "that thread". Good thing since I need something very light now. I really want a strong drink, but don't need the migraine that I would get.

T&B, I don't like to drink but I'm going to have something really strong for you. Would you like that with or without a Xanax?

Just droppin in to update y'all so that you don't have to ping-pong it with the too-serious thread!:

What is Progressive Christianity (and specifically where can they worship)

Forms of Redemption (and why does the bible say there are 17 Ten Commandments?)

Sylvester's ride home proves there are no boogeymen (and Joe had a great day, too)

Are there levels of sin (God vs. people)

Everyone seems to like the Monkees

Religions aren't scar

y (unless they require strange things)

Did God help Joe switch sexualities? (and Cheerleading movies should be carefully selected)

Buckalew needs to keep up (she's always a day late and a dollar short)
:)

OMG!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Someone got my DH's info. Name, ccr #, address, phone, mother's maiden name!, bank account - everything! They tried to transfer $8,000 to some account in Florida. We got called first, but how do they get that stuff?!

Sorry about your migraine. Maybe a drink and some advil together? ;) Hope you feel lots better real soon!

I don't have a migraine YET, but I will if I have that drink I want! :rotfl2: But I'm being good and not drinking.

And teva is being nice and doing it for me! Hmmm, I'd say without Xanax, teva... :scared1:

You may want to rethink that. :p

That is a big fear of mine. Idenity theif. Or someone getting information and robbing us blind. Some people are so clever and so evil they don't care if they ruin you financially. :sad2:

Sorry hi, everyone. lets hope we all have a good day.

I need some support if ya all don't mind. I am afraid, but I know I should have it done. Having Allison at such a later time in my life drained a lot of calcuim. Therefore, I lost quite a bit of my teeth. My teeth are a mess. I have been mulling over getting what is left removed and getting dentures.

I am not really all that scared over the pain part, but I am over the part of having to walk around with no teeth at all for a few weeks. Granted I will lose some very much needed weight but I will be embarrased to go out and be seen like that. And yes, I am not totally truthful, I am afraid of the pain.

Have any of you experienced this? No jokes please.

Susan, are you sure you have to go without them for a few weeks? A friend of mine had them done several months ago and they put hers in immediately. She refused to have it done if she had to wait. They put them in right away, but she had to have them adjusted several times as the swelling went down. Good luck. :goodvibes

This happened to my sister two years ago. She had all her top teeth pulled, and they gave her the dentures immediately. Yes, you will need adjustments; but you don't have to wait. Good luck :wizard:

Thats odd. DH just got some dentures a few months ago and he ended up having to go around for a almost 2 weeks without any teeth. He had just the uppers too. I most likely will need both cause I only have 6 on top and since the bottom ones didn't have anything to match up next to they have become awful crooked. Way pass braces crooked.

Also like I said I am a bit worried about the pain. I have a fairly decent pair tolerance, but this is scaring me.

From what I understand, they prefer that you wait until the swelling goes down...but if you insist they put them in right away, they can do it. Maybe that's not the case with everyone though. It wouldn't hurt to ask. Now my friend said she didn't have too much pain, but she had a hard time eating and lost about 40 pounds.

Wow 40 pounds and then some sounds real good!!! :woohoo:

maybe if nothing else it would be worth the pain to lose 40 pounds and have a pretty :teeth:

Maybe it matters on the dentist, too. I personally would insist on them right away even if it meant adjustments for awhile. My sister got dentures when she was 25yo. I'm sure nowdays a dentist would do everything to avoid that at such a young age, but then (over 30 years ago) they didn't do all the dental work to delay dentures that they do now. I don't remember my mom ever not having dentures, so she must have been around 40yo.

How about if you consult with the dentist and discuss your concerns? Then he/she can talk with you about the options. Why would we give you a bad time? We're jokers, but we're not mean! :)

I would be going to the dentist that DH went to somewhere in Chicago. His insurance from work is great for dental. all I know is all he had to pay was $25 for his dentures. no matter what I guess I should just be happy that I will be able to have a nice smile again. :thumbsup2

You're right, none of us would make fun of her, but I can understand why she was afraid of that. People tend to make fun of other people's teeth all the time. No worries, Susan. :goodvibes

Susan :grouphug:

When my mother had hers done they put the dentures in right away and it had something to do with protecting her gums. Something to that effect, it's been 25 years, but I do know that they did it for a reason. :confused3

Getting back to the original question in this thread: Are we wound too tightly around here lately?
