I'm so stinkin tired today. I'll probably sleep till noon tomorrow :rotfl:

this makes me SO JEALOUS!

Good, I'm glad it's bearable!

My headache is gone, thank goodness.
DD and I had a wonderful day in the City, after my doctor appt. We just walked and walked (my knees are paying for it now) and did some shopping for small, fun things.

Sorry about your knees, but I am glad you had a great time with DD today in the city!

Yes sometimes a nap can make it worse too

the rule is: No naps, unless I am the one taking them.

Us too!
Imagine that, Cleveland, Buffalo, and NY 80's in APRIL!
Hell may freeze.

LOL:lmao::lmao:

Hi Everyone!

School was eventful today
lots of little silly things that made for a long day.

I will probably tell you about all of them:rotfl2:

Homework is done (whew)
and we are planning on attending the last youth group
of the season
it is a dessert banquet.....
DD10 has been talking nonstop about it

After the dessert banquet

we are headed BACK to my school
for the Scholastic book fair

buy one get one free!

(this could be costly)

DS is at girlfriend's.

I know.

It is getting to be way to much togetherness.

Not on school nights, what happened to that rule????
Hmmmmm???

Well, for one thing, girlfriend can now drive
and pick up DS and bring home DS
which means less taxi momma.....

and DH is away
and I will be away all eve
and DS would be sittin all alone (poor boy)

also, it appears I have no backbone

Yesterday we had an assembly at school

no one knew anything about it
the head teacher just called us all to the gym
at 2:00 for a "blood drive"
which he announced on the PA system
and completely freaked the kids out
they thought they were going to have to give blood

actually the red cross presented
asked the kids to be "blood hounds"
and invite people to give blood next week
must be 16
must be healthy
must weight 110 pounds
"Doyou know anyone you can ask??"
"There will be prizes if you can get someone to donate blood!"

does anyone else see a teensy problemo here????

I am ALL for giving blood. It is very important. It is the right thing to do.
BUt to promise six year olds a prize for getting someone they know to give blood???? WTH????

One would think it is a full moon,
today at dismissal we had TWO children kick others

a sixth grader and a fifth grader
both of who know way better

see you tomorrow, Mr. Principal!

I just had a big salad for dinner,
better than cheez its and M & M's
right, Sarah?

(well, it didn't actually taste better than those things)

but I am going to a dessert buffet
in a half hour
so I thought I should get some fallback food
in my tummy
in case I get carried away on sampling desserts

it has been known to happen:rolleyes1

Today is the FIRST,
the very FIRST time, all year

that "done with mothering" mom
signed the boys planner

guess what she wrote.....

I want him to write neater.

well, it has been delightful
talking to myself
but I must clean up the kitchen
as it is almost dessert time
then bookfair time
and I hate to come home to a messy house

FYI

as I am leaving
I have about four red x's in my siggy

I hope that is fixed before I get back!
red x
is not so pretty
in a siggy

Judi...I totally forgot to tell you this yesterday...my school has another new stupid rule :rolleyes1 They have been having trouble with the kids writing on the bathroom walls so they have decided that if they find new writing on the walls they are closing the bathroom until further notice! Today there was only one bathroom open and it was the boys...so I have to hold it until I get to the elementrary school!
