Are we "official"yet?!?!?

We got our DVC box today with all the conracts to sign, the member book and the bag- does that mean we're official- or is that just the pre-lims? We don't really get our official "welcome homes" until the contract is signed and we make our 1st real ressie???? Just wondering 'cos I'm dying to hear that lovely phrase , "Welcome Home" from everybody!!!!! (It's kinda hard to stop my feet from doing the dance of joy!!! I've been waiting for this for at least 4 years!!) I guess these guys feel the same way!

Welcome Home! (unofficially) Disney will consider you official when they've received your down payment and signed contracts. If you give them a CC# over the phone for downpayment, you can make ressies that day

They already have the down payment and we're signing the contracts today and sending them out- can't make that 1st ressie yet- we made our use year for Oct.- and we're going to go to WDW in January '05, so we're not quite at the 11 month window, but when we are........... "you can bet your sweet bippie" (oh- oh, does that indicate my age?!?!?! ) that I'll be up as early as I need to be to get those ressies done!
I do have a couple of questions though. We're going to be there for the marathon in January- do you think I need to get up real early to make my ressie, or make a day by day ressie for that, or can I just wait a week and make them all at once AND What time does MS open in the morning?
Thanks for making me feel welcome- I can hardly wait to hear them say it!

Yet another, WELCOME HOME!!!
It is soooooooooooooooooo nice hearing those words, "Welcome Home." We joined the DVC in March 2002. We took our first DVC trip to Vero Beach in November 2002.
We had a late flight out of Philadelphia and by the time we got our rental car in Orlando and drove to Vero Beach, it was after 9pm. We were greeted with a, "Welcome Home Mr. and Mrs. Walters, and welcome to Vero Beach." If anyone needs a nice and relaxing place to stay, I recommend Disney's Vero Beach. We had a GREAT stay there, and we will be going back, that's for sure

We got a lot of those replies on these boards but the first one we actually heard was from the CM who checked us in at VWL. I almost missed it as I was looking up in awe at the sights inside the lodge. As we were walking away I kept asking my DW did you hear the CM say welcome home, did you hear her say that?!!!! Man what a feeling!!
