Hi all, first post, and probably in the wrong place, so feel free to move it if need be mods,

My other half and i are getting married at the wedding pavillion in 3 weeks time, and i have a couple of questions regarding this that im sure you guys will be able to help with,
(1) We have booked the hoop de doo show after the ceremony (oct 10th) and are planning to head over to it mob handed, well 15 of us, via the boat, is this going to cause problems with wedding attire still on? being Scottish i will naturally still be wearing my kilt! and my new manager :rotfl: will still have her wedding dress on!
(2) We have been to the world in October already, a few years ago, i distinctly remember being able to walk onto most rides with little or no waiting in line, Is this normal for the time of year? are the parks usually quiet in the first 2 weeks of October? or did we just get lucky last time? and we will have 90 minute lines this time!

P.S if you happen across a guy wearing a kilt on the 10th, feel free to say hello!

thanks in advance for any info!

Nah of course you're not mad for wanting to make the entire holiday special! HOWEVER I know that they refuse wedding gowns in the parks since they are worried that guests may confuse them with the princesses. SO will they let you wear to HHDR? I am not sure, a phone call to check out whether it is allowed. I would love to see you in your kilt!! :bride: :groom:

Congratulations on your up-coming wedding! I wish I could have gotten married there! we'll drop you both some Pixie Dust to keep the rain away ok? pixiedust: pixiedust:
First of all, I think that if I had the chance I would change clothes before doing all of the later activities. From a womens prospective, getting in and out of that boat will be really hard and I wouldn't want to tear my dress.
You could still probably get away with wearing your Kilt though but it's also going to still be hot out.
Second...The Epcot Food and Wine fest. will be going at that time so THAT park will probably be crowded! I am hoping the OTHER parks won't be crowded because we'll be there the same time as you! :rotfl2:
GOOD LUCK to you both and may you have a wonderful and long marriage!  Yo Ho! Helen

The first two weeks of October is Fall Break for most of the schools in KY. I know A LOT of people are headed down. Keep in mind if everybody in our town went down WDW would still not be crowded!LOL We were there in the fall of 2004 and it was PACKED! Friends had been down the year before and said there were no crowds. 2004 is when the hurricanes came through FL and everyone rescheduled their trips for October. We'll be there this year also so hopefully it won't be crowded, everybody will use free dining in August and September!

Congrats on the Disney Wedding...you probably should change before going to the Hoop De Doo because of the high probablity of dropping BBQ ribs on your wedding clothes!! :) needless to say, I've dropped a rib or two in my time...again Congrats and have a great time!!

No nothing as simple as that, flying would be much too easy, the mothers with kids are flying, but the guys are brushing the dust off the hogs and driving down the coast! rather them than me, i think the novelty would wear off by Niagara. :rotfl2:
