We returned from 21 nights at SSR in November and said that that was going to be it Florida wise for at least 5 years. We lasted 7 weeks and are already discussing 2015 and have looked for this year but don't think we can comfortably afford it. :-( I have been to Florida 5 times now, is it normal to keep wanting to go back? I feel as though I am addicted to something! Haha

Sounds about right

I'm waiting to book for next year, which i will be doing before we've even been able to book FP for this year's trip. I can't believe I'm saying that considering how irritated I am with MDE at the moment, but there you have it.

I don't think Disney is everyone's cup of tea; I don't think it's a must do for everyone. But if the bug bites ya, and you love it, why go somewhere else?!

Besides, if I told you that you were abnormal, would you make an instant decision never to go back? I hope not! :lmao:

Life is short. Do what you love. Do the stuff you enjoy with the people you love. Enjoy it while you can. And if you change your mind at any point? Then go do something new :)

You're as normal as the rest of us on here:rolleyes1

I agree totally with 2tiggies..:upsidedow

You're on the wrong forums if you want to be normal???!!!

Go for it, if it's what you want to do, why worry about being 'normal'. It's normal for you and that's all that matters.

Pam

I think it's fairly standard behavior round here? In the space of a few weeks after getting back in November, I started wanting to go again. And now I am in March.

It will be my 7th trip since 2007. I used to worry about it, or what other people may think, but now I'm just happy to go and do what I want to do. I know I'm always happy there, and work hard professionally. So why not!! You only get one life!!

Sounds perfectly normal to me. With 11 trips under my belt since 2004, I already have two trips planned and booked this year. DH and I have said we're giving WDW a miss next year in favour of Hawaii. I feel determined to do it, if only for DH (since he is less into WDW than me) but I can't help but think I will find a way to do both ;)

July will be our 33rd trip to Orlando (in addition to 2 more trips to Disneyland CA)
Sept will be out 7th Disney Cruise.
If you are not normal after 5 trips what does that make us?

Our doctor knows about our condition, everytime we go see him he makes a comment like "How long til your next visit?" or "You managed to stay in the country long enough to come and see me" :rotfl2:

My dad thinks we are insane doing Disney year after year ;) but I don't care - we may not be able to afford it forever and life's too short, might as well enjoy it whilst you can!

We are very lucky in that we also manage to fit in a trip to Europe (or within the UK) each year as well, and a quick trip to NY in a couple of months, so it's not like WDW is our only holiday spot! But we love it and we work hard for our money so if that's how we want to spend it we will :)

That's my kind of normal. Then again, I've been over 20 times in as many years, so maybe I'm biased :) I think everyone in my life now accepts that I'm a Disney-addict.

Sounds normal by anyone on these boards standards :rotfl:

I am in no position to judge as our DD is only 5 1/2 and already has 12 trips under her belt :rolleyes1

We still love Disney but the more trips we do the more we love Florida and we would dearly love to move out there. It is something we will achieve one day :goodvibes

Perfectly normal:). We got our first taste of WDW in 2000, then in 2001, 2004 & 2008 we got a taste for DLP, we're now back on WDW having visited 2011, 2013 and all booked for 2014. To be honest we've priced up other overseas holidays but Florida wins hands down, both in price and it's where we all love to holiday.

As there are no direct flights to Hawaii and you'll have to change planes somewhere (usually on the west coast) how about having a few days stopover in LA and do Disneyland in Anaheim?

Totally normal! I went to WDW for the first time in 2007, since then been 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013, we are just about to book 2015! For me I just don't know what there isn't to like about Disney/Florida. It's a very easy holiday, everything is there for you and more plus things constantly change and it's always evolving and updating in terms of attractions. None of our trips have been the same!

Thanks for all your comments guys. I knew we were normal ;-) ....I went with my girlfriend in 2011, it was her first time and she was like "this will be a once in a lifetime holiday!"...I had been before so knew better. We went again October/November last year and she became my fiancée....I proposed right by the Partners Statue and had it all photographed by the Photopass photographers. Don't think I could have done a better job, I got a massive round of applause and some lady looking on started to cry! Most important of all, she said yes :-)

looks like u are going to aulanni then :wizard:

Well, we are normal for on here anyway :rotfl:.

I can't believe that since we've hit 2014 I've become obsessed with a holiday that is over 1.5 years away! :upsidedow

I think it's because I can now say to people (when they ask where we are going on holiday this year), "Oh not abroad as we are going to Florida next year". The majority of people (this has happened already) think I've lost the plot :lmao:. They're like "Oh, it's not this year then".....

In my defence, I think the excitement is that I know it won't be long until the first Disney accom deal comes out so I've been researching accom so I know what we would like quotes for. It pays to be 'ready' doesn't it ;).

Once that has been and gone, I have a looooonnnnngggg wait ahead of me for the next 'thing to do' :rotfl2:.

AND, it is a once in a lifetime trip (like a lot of other people on here) :p.

Definitely normal! It's been just over three years since my last trip to WDW and I have suffered greatly from withdrawel ever since...
Finally going back in March and already planning a Tokyo Disney trip for 2015! :rolleyes1

I think this is pretty normal around here!

We went in 2012 and that was supposed to be it, at least for a good few years. In 2013 we went to Morocco and did not enjoy it nearly as much as Florida (it was an interesting place and I'm glad we went, but it was the only holiday I've been on where I've been ready to come home at the end). Pretty much as soon as we were home from morocco, WDW 2015 was suggested!
