Hi all,

I've been to Disney World twice, last time in summer 2022. My family is going on a cruise during Christmas and looking at just doing one day at Disney World on Saturday, December 28th. I know I've heard the crowds are crazy, and I'm not expecting to do a whole lot (we've done almost everything at the parks at this point, just not the new attractions like tron, Tiana, etc.). I was just thinking of doing MK, but would it be worth it to get a park hopper? Is Genie Plus worth it this time of year? Anyone have success traveling at this time without genie?

Adding park hopper would cost roughly an additional $65 per person. I might consider that if you want to hop over to Epcot to walk around World Showcase. But you’re probably better off staying at the MK and using that money to purchase LLMP or individual lightening lanes if necessary.

For only a single day visit, I would never give up the time it takes to get into another park.

I would settle on one park and admire the decor of various resorts. The holiday week is really busy.

Consider the cost of the new LLMP and / or LLSP for rides not included.

Park hopping is time consuming and might be a waste of time for your limited timeframe.

ahh I just realized that! The new service actually looks much better than genie+ & looks more promising, although will still be difficult over the holidays.

Sound advice above - especially getting to another park on a one day trip, is giving up A LOT of valuable time. Manage expectations because it will be busy, and you will likely be better served by saving the money from the park hopper to purchase LLMP and/or LLSP.
