Hey guys! Just a question about August/September weather. We are currenty booked for Oct 22-Nov2 at ASMu. Now with free dining, we are considering switching to August 24-Sept 3. How hot is that time of year? We have been in June before, should we consider the weather to be the same?? Thanks so much!!

It is hot in September, and humid. There is a typical chance of showers, but that's Florida. I don't think it's any worse than June weather. I've gone for free dining for the past two years, and honestly, the weather just doesn't phase me. Sure, we get hot. We stop, find some place air conditioned and chill for a bit before heading out again. Just stay hydrated and I think you'll have a great time!:thumbsup2

Thank you for your response!! I am thinking we may go ahead and do this...if we handled it in June and we went to Vegas last July(i know it is not humid, but it was HOT!), I think we will be okay dealing with the heat!
Thanks again!!

It is blazing hot with high humidity in August. We've been several times in August. A few words of advice: pack rain gear and stow it in a locker...it pours nearly every day. Make sure you have a spray fan (they are WAY cheaper at Walmart or Walgreens) and pack bottled water (preferably frozen). We usually hit the parks early, clear out around 1 or 2 to swim and/or nap then head back in at night. It's generally cooler during the morning and evening.

Last year we went in August---and it was 118 both days. Maybe because I live in Wisconsin that was just too much for me! It was miserable. We decided that next time we go will be early december. (This Mom isn't a very happy camper at 118)

118 degrees in August in Orlando? Last year?:confused3
You can expect high 90's for temp, mid 80's for humidity and mid to high 70's for the dew point. Super hot and humid and sticky, but hey, you're at WDW!:thumbsup2
Enjoy!

We go at the beginning of Sept every year. It's hot...90s usually. But hey, it's Florida...I expect it to be hot. Just bring lots of water.

My husband compared our September WDW vacation last year to vacationing on the surface of the sun. It is hot! Very, very hot!

Thanks again everyone!! I am still on the fence about changing our dates...but the savings with the FD, is certainly making DH want to go in August....

We went to Disney in August in 2000. We swore we would NEVER go in August or Sept. ever again!! Then came free dining. We went last Sept. It is HOT and HUMID!!! But for us the savings is worth it.(We have 6 kids) Be prepared for some rainy times during the day and stay hydrated. We had such a great time we are going again this Sept. with free dining!! :-) Good Luck with your decision.

Thanks so much everyone for your answers!! :goodvibes We have decided to stay with Oct after all. My BIL and his family wouldn't switch their dates, but said they didn't care if we did. (We were all going at the same time in Oct). So we talked to my MIL, who was also going, and said that if we switched to Aug/Sept, then she would just cancel her trip as it wasn't fair to go with BIL and his family/kids, and not with us and DD. Soooo I felt really guilty about that as all the kids are looking forward to going to WDW with Nan, so we just kept Oct.

Now for the real kicker....BIL has all his ressie and plans set in stone and won't change for anything...and none of our plans really meet up at all. They are WDW newbies, and listen to an misinformed TA (one who said that Walts suite was in WDW not in DL, and that she had their Cinderella's Royal Table ressie booked one year in advance...and the list goes on..including a monorail that not only went completly around WDW, but the Orlando area in general!! Just like a bus she said, just pull the cord when you want to get off!! )rather than what we suggest with actual WDW expereince!! So frustrating! I am sure it will make for an interesting PTR, when I start one!! LOL:rotfl:

Thanks again everyone!!
