Are we crazy for doing MK on Saturday?

My sister and parents are joining us at AKL March 18 and 19 before our Wonder Cruise. (we arrive on Thurs, 17th). The only park we planned on together was MK and she wanted to do Saturday as they are only getting single park tickets. My family would do MGM & Epcot on Friday w/o them as don't arrive until 2pm.

Is this a terrible mistake? I am afraid my parents will be overwelmed with MK on a Saturday. Should I talk them into doing MK when they arrive on Friday? Do you think that will be a midnight closing ?

It could be a mistake. I've been on a Saturday during the later part of October and it was a piece of cake. We got there at opening and left around 2pm. I guess it all depends on what time of year you go. It may be better to do it on Friday, but if you get there early, like 45-30 minutes before the gates open, you could go in and do the biggies then cruise the rest of the day using Fastpasses.

Yes. You are crazy. We tried to go to MK on two separate Saturdays earlier this month and it was way too crowded, we left and went to Animal Kingdom or Epcot. One of those Saturdays was the Veterans day weekend though.

Generally, Saturdays are normally busy. That Saturday will probably be chaotic. Why? Because that is the weekend before Easter week. Alot of people will be arriving Friday night or Saturday for Easter week and most people like to go to MKon the first day at WDW. The 19th will be our last day for our upcoming trip and I will not be anywhere near MK.

I completely agree with the others -- if you want to go to MK, go Friday rather than Saturday. But even on that Friday, it's probably going to be crowded, just not as bad as Saturday.

We will be at WDW the following week (3/22-3/28) and are taking that Saturday off from all parks. It is the day before Easter and is going to be a Z-O-O!
