I recently found out my DH has a conference in Orlando in June 2004, which gets me another trip to Disney. DH's eyes are starting to glaze over and I told him that I think the more days spent with Mickey, the better the year. He just laughed and said I am crazy, but I will happily admit that I LIVE for my Disney days.

How many others agree?

Absolutely - you have to live it to understand it!

I'm just glad other people here actually understand!! Some of my friends say (rather sarcastically) that, "She only lives from trip to trip." One time a bunch of girlfriends and I were playing Disney trivia and they were fighting to have me on their team. My team won.:teeth: :teeth: I say, Go for It!!

It's an addiction for our family - but we would never choose to be cured!! We have so many wonderful memories of all our trips!

I think we all do it. I for one, know that when it starts to get hairy at work, I transport myself to the World somewhere...sometimes it's strolling the WS in Epcot sometimes I'm skimming along Bay Lake ina boat, sometimes I am having a sundae at Beaches and Cream.

I absolutely understand. My DH had a conference at the Swan/Dolphin three weeks before our DD's wedding.....and I went with. He wasn't going to be THAT close to Mickey without my coming along! :teeth: (and we were just there at Christmastime!)

I agree with you the more days spent with Mickey, the better the year. !

I am looking the members guidebook quite a bit an dreaming about my combo BWV/BCV trip in Jan/04

Have to kill the time somehow ;)

Thanks

Well...depends whose idea of crazy we go by...if the definition is "strays outside societal norms" ...well, probably we are all somewhat guilty as charged.

However, the smile pasted on our faces much of the time....actually makes us far more centered IMHO than those who are not so "afflicted."

If this is Crazy....I say..."I'm Crazy, nice to meet you [with a smile], I wish you all a magical day!" ;)

Yup. We're nuts. Or perhaps we aren't and everyone else is... :bounce:

To take a different angle. We go to conferences once or twice a year and make them into mini vacations when we can. Since they're paid for by the company, I can't use my DVC points (or at least I won't get reimbursed if I do). It is a great way to get some extra quality time though.

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world, isn't it! I want my, I want my, I want my DVC! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

DISNEY DAYS GOOD DISNEY DAYS GOOD DISNEY DAYS GOOD DISNEY DAYS GOOD
NO DISNEY DAYS .....BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My DW didnt have it near as bad as I got it. That was until our first trip home to VWL. I cant keep her off these forums now, I have to jockey for position at the computer these days so I can get to these boards.
Hope your DW feels the same after her first trip home. Good Luck!

Jimmy

My year has just two seasons -- (1) I'm at WDW, and (2) I'm getting ready for WDW. I'm not kidding! Whenever things are stressful at work, I think of something I'd like to do on my next trip. Also, I have a small box at home of things to take along next time (passes, maps, laundry tablets, etc.) and I look through it periodically to keep in the spirit of things! Not to mention reading these boards on a regular basis...

Lyndarella -- you said it best for me -- two seasons :)

Boy do I understand the sentiments on this thread.
