When I was doing the bag swap, I was visiting several of the resorts. When I said I was there to drop the bag off to some one, I had to have the name of the person that the reservation was made under. Most the time I didn't know the info off the top of my head, I just told them I was "just visiting" when they asked for a reason, or eating if it was that time of day. The only resort that I visited to give extra precautions to was Shades of Green, and the bag user arrived before I did and told them of my coming so I could park.
But if you tell them you're there for anything that the fort provides, they'll wave you right on through. A few suggestions, trail rides, eating, shopping, canoes, boating, fishing, carriage rides, wagon rides.
A long long time ago they used to have me pull up to write my tag number down, but I haven't had them do it in a while. I guess to give you that sense of "big brother is watching". But they already have security cameras on the back of every guard house and toll booth, so they're already recording your license plate number as you drive through. When I was a cast member, I just flashed my ID with no questions asked.
And while I'm sure the family member's know each other names, they might not be clear on who's name the reservation is under. It could the husband's brother coming to visit and the reservation is made under the wife's sister's name who's married. So who knows if the last names are the same.
