Are UK and US rates comparable?

Yeah... I am waiting on 2013 like everyone else lol. I looked on the UK WDW site and my dates fall under FD that they were already offered
Does anyone know if Disney basically does the same for both sides of the pond?

I dont think they do. US doesnt get alot of things that UK is offered or if we do, it is limited on the dates BUT I could be wrong!

Disney does NOT give the same offer to UK(EU) and USA. USA free dining is more limited on dates.

I agree, very frustrating. I once asked a CM why the UK gets such great deals. I was told it was because they often stay longer than the US guests. My reply... If I got 1/2 off tickets, free dining and room discounts, I would stay longer too! I didnt even mention the currency exchange rate!

Funny too how there are no perks for US residents at Disney Paris. It clearly states they do not do any marketing or promotions for US residents!

Oh well....discount or not, Im still going as often as I can!!

We live in Alaska and I paid $635/ticket (its the cheapest I could find, we planned our dates around ticket prices). I agree that it's a little not fair. Tickets to Florida normally run around 800 to get to Orlando, sometimes more.

I will say your conversions aren't right... The pound is way stronger than the dollar. 236 pounds is about $360 USD

You need to multiply the British pound price by 1.57 to get the $US equivalent instead of dividing. £756 x 1.57 = $1187 US for the airline ticket.

Like someone else already mentioned the airfare is a lot. You also have to book at least a Moderate Resort to get free Quick Service dining. As far as I know the room discounts are for Old Key West and Saratoga Springs which I still wouldn't be able to afford!

The tickets are a good deal though compared to US prices!

I feel worst for people coming from the west coast or somewhere like Alaska/Hawaii. Those are some really long flights and they don't really get any perks. At least they have Disneyland over there though.

And also I looked at the Disney World UK site just out of curiosity. They already have 2013 free dining and oddly enough it was expiring in July, that's very early! It was definitely very different than the US rates I've seen before, no way to compare.

We get totally different offers over here. 14 days for 7, free dining..they're trying to provide a incentive to go there and spend the whole holiday rather then just a few days at Disney. Unfortunately it's still a little out of our budget.
