Are towels available around the pool areas?

Hello,
We're going Jan. 30 - Feb. 8 2003 staying at PORFQ. We're wondering if there are towels available in the pool area. Our last visit was our honeymoon in 1990 (CBR) and we can't remember.

Yes, towels were availabe all week when we were @ OKW. Just got back last night!

I'm pretty sure that the moderate resorts don't provide towels....only the deluxe resorts do.

They supplied towels at POR so I would assume they would provide them at POFQ also.

I just got back from POR and a sign in our room said something like, "please take your room towels to the pools because they won't be supplied there." (We never used the pool, so I can't say for sure that towels weren't there.)

I remember that POFQ did have a note in the rooms saying that we could bring the towels from the room to the pool. I know they had a towel return, but I can't remember if they had towels in the pool area itself. Last time I was at POR they had the towels out, and I do remember that if we went down to late in the day, the towels were gone and we went back to the room to get towels once.

Bojo - we are leaving for OKW in about 3 1/2 weeks. I was wondering about towels not just by the pool but in the room. I posted on the Vacation Club board & was told that you don't get fresh towels in your room every day. If you pay an additional $10 you get a trash pick up & fresh towels.

I don't want to be completely cheap, but I feel that I have paid so much for the room already (we have rented points) that I didn't want to pay an extra $10 for towels. Can you take them from the pool back to your room?

It really surprises me that Disney does not offer housekeeping service to those in the Vacation Club resorts. I've heard they come once throughout the week. I am sure we will have fun, however, I look forward to not doing housework on vacation & enjoy having housekeeping service & fresh towels every day while we are away. I don't mean to sound tacky!

Any info you can share about your stay would be appreciated.
