Are tolls now billed?

Driving down to Florida from NJ tomorrow!! I haven't driven since 2016 are the tolls now billed? Or is this just a rumor or in the works?

I believe CFX (E-Pass) sends invoices by mail, but the Turnpike (SunPass) still sends violation notices. Apart from the actual Florida Turnpike, virtually all toll roads in Central FL are shared by the 2 agencies, with toll booths from the different agencies at different points on the roads.

If you have an E-ZPass from NJ, it should be recognized & charged at E-Pass toll plazas, but not at SunPass toll plazas.

If you pass through any cashless tolls, like a couple of those they have in NY, you will be billed.

I was concerned for the same thing when we followed GPS up onto a toll road with many & large signage for violators not having a pass. The sign said Passholders only, no bills. So, I googled their website, found the pages for oopsies, they had searchable fields to type in your tag # & see if there's a hit for you.

I am so sorry, I meant to type in my PP that this was when we were in TX, but I reread it & didn't state that. I was only posting that other states have searchable ways to find out. I don't know if GA does, but worth a looksee.

Hi all, Brit here who will be driving from Orlando to NY via Charleston, Washington, Richmond and Gettysberg (Not in that order) Will I simply be able to pay for tolls with cash as I head up north or do I need an E Z Pass?

We went on one in NC near Charlotte that was billed. It was very strange with no toll booths. We didnt get our bill for like 2 months.
