Have you tried to take Tide-to-go sticks on your flight? Are they allowed as checked baggage, carry-on, or completely banned?

You may be thinking of a post where someone said that the TSA agent confiscated their Tide to Go, which was not in their 311 bag but in their carryon.

It can be in your 311 bag or in your checked luggage, but as it is a liquid cannot be in your carryon unless it's in the 311 bag.

You may also consider Shout wipes.

I have the joy of flying every week for work and have found out that almost everything is up to the discretion of the TSA people. Some airports allow some things and not other airports. It also depends on the time of day, the crowd, the TSA person, the phase of the moon etc. And there is no point in ever arguing with them. That just makes the situation worse and you can never win.

That being said, you can't go wrong with putting it in your 311 bag (i even carry extra bags for clueless travelers around me).

These rules continually evolve and change on a regular basis and it's hard to keep up.

They are not banned at all. Some TSA agents are JERKS and some are STUPID. You run the risk of getting one of these two types every time you fly. Both of these types make up thier own rules. If you don't like thier rules ask for thier supervisor.

Airports etc do NOT get to make up thier own rules unless WE let them. I for one don't let them. I ask for a supervisor when I get one of the two types of clueless agents. Several frequent flyers I know travel with print outs of the TSA webpages and show them to the agent on a power trip (that seems to shut them up!) I do argue and I do win. I am polite but FIRM and I ask for a supervisor. (I also write letters and emails outlining any issues I encounter!) I do not believe that just letting the TSA do whatever they want is in our best interest. The day they want to strip search you for entertainment are you just going to give in or will you finally decide it's worth arguing with them???

Liquid bleach is banned in carry-ons AND checked bags, per FAA regulations.

I think some of the TSA people are assuming that these are bleach pens, which they are not, and confiscating them.

I take a stain stick and dress the kids in dark colors. ;)
