Are those of you who keep getting cheaper National Rates using a product code?

I have a minivan rented from National for 9/17-9/24. We used the product code of WWEB, entertainment coupon and contract id for $257.60. The priceless code gave me the same price as the entertainment contract id. But, I keep seeing threads from some of you how every day you are getting cheaper rates. But everytime I check, I get the same price. Is it due to the product code? Unfortunately, when I don't use the product code its upwards of $400 for the minivan so I need it at this point. Thanks. Just curious how the rates are changing for some of you and what you are using.

I was also wondering how people were getting such low rates. I was plugging in the Priceless contract ID, a coupon, and WWEB for the product rate code and it was coming to 198.00 for a week in August for an intermediate. Then I dropped the WWEB and left that space blank and the total came to $142!!! I was so happy! Aren't car rental reservations the strangest things in the world????

Maybe you should try dropping one or more of the different codes. Also, make sure you join the Emerald Club (see Mousesavers for instructions on how to join for free). The website gave me a lower rate when I tried out different rates logged in as a Club member.

I have NEVER gotten a good rate with WWEB...that seems to override a lot of discounts.

I never plug in a product code. Usually if National is running a special and you click on that special, that is when the code is plugged in automaticallly. If I ever try and put a product rate code in, it always makes it higher for me so I usually don't even bother.

I used a $20 coupon and 6600330 and got $149 total for a week in Nov/Dec. Now it's over $400! I guess it just depends on how early you book and when you are going. I did have to check my rate and rebook a couple of times to get that rate though.

I check rates periodically and use the same two numbers; the $20 off coupon and the 6600330 contract number.

Ok, I tried some of the things you guys suggested. I tried priceless/ent for minivan w/out WWEB and price went up to $300ish. I signed up for emerald club through turner travel and tried it, and same prices. The only way I could get 257.60 for the minivan was to use WWEB, and either priceless/ent contract id, and ent coupon. And, months ago when I first started pricing it was in the $300's so this is the cheapest I have seen. But, I'm sure not seeing the price change every day like some people have mentioned. I've been trying for weeks now with these codes and I always see the same prices.

Have you cleared your cookies and cache so you are getting a "new" chance?

Yes, I do that every day, but I'll keep checking. I did see that the standard priceless w/ent coupon went down today from 304 to like 289, but since I already have it at 257.60 including the wweb code, no need for me to rebook. Maybe as time progresses, it will get cheaper, but I only have 6 weeks left!
