Are they still "relaxed" on Fast Pass return times?

I really don't want to argue with you. Obviously, we disagree. You seem to have a major attitude, not sure why. You voiced your opinion and I did the same.

I find it very easy, with little kids even, to get back to a ride for my Fastpass window and if I realize I won't be able to get back in time because of an ADR or whatever then I don't get the Fastpass, or if I did get the Fastpass and realize I can't make it back in time, I forget it and do something else. That's my opinion and how I handle it.

If you didn't want to argue you wouldn't have posted what you did. You took the first shot by what you said. "I have little kids and have always been able to make my Fastpass window. Weird." Basically saying "I can make my Fastpass window, so anyone that can't must be weird." I took that as a shot at me and I was just trying to defend myself. We obviously agree to disagree. Can't we just leave it at that?

I had always heard that this "unwritten" policy was to serve as a convenience for the CMs. In case the attraction was down or closed earlier in the day during a FP return time, guests were allowed to return at any time after that. Since it would be an inconvenience for the CM's to try and keep track of when an attraction may have been down earlier, they are allowed to accept late FPs at any time (except for scheduled show times).

I was told by our Tour Guide/Cast Member Erick on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour that fastpasses are good ANYTIME after the last time stamped on the fastpass. Never have had a problem using fastpasses after the time stamped.

We've never tried to use a FastPass after the time, except if it was only a few minutes.

A couple of weeks ago we got a FastPass for BTMRR because the wait was 40 minutes. When we went to use it, there was no one in line, and the CM didn't even take the FP. He said, "Just keep them and use them later." I didn't ask if he meant later that day or what, but we left shortly afterward and didn't use them. I'm planning on putting them in our scrapbook.

This has always been one of our best kept secrets.
It's amazing how many people get bent outta shape if they don't make the return window.
We've even had people give us fast passes 'cuz they couldn't make it back in time.

As did we! I will still try to use my Fastpass at the allotted time but maybe if we have a conflicting ADR I'll try for later on and if they say too bad, I'll wait in the regular line. I don't remember dying 10 years ago waiting in an hour line, and it sure won't kill me now.

I just got back Friday and maybe it was because of reasonable crowds, but I swear I never even saw a CM LOOK at our FP's....no kidding, I don't think they checked the return times start time, let alone the ending.

Most rides we had FP's for had stand by wait times of 30-40 mins, not bad, but I watched the CM's when I gave them our FP's and maybe one looked at them, the rest just took them and put them in the stack with all the others.
I was only late for one return window by 40 mins and the CM took the FP without even glancing at it.

Time to let this thread die, gang. The answer to the OPs question never changes: the FastPass has a start time and end time on it. Depending on the CM or CMs at the attraction you may be able to ride after the expiration time, or you may not.

I normally don't get involved in snippy discussions, but beatty, you were rude to Joe with your "weird" statement and deserved to be called on it. Also, perhaps you might think about how you may be perceived yourself before you accuse others of "having an attitude". You're right I really wasn't sorry. I was posting on the same vain as your original post. Maybe there should be an award for those who can do things so much better than the rest us and feel the need to let everyone know.

I didn't even quote 'Joe'. I gave my opinion; that I thought it was weird that even though I also have two little ones, I'm usually able to make it back in time for the Fastpass. Sorry but I don't think that's 'rude', 'snippy', 'snide' or 'patronizing' but you do have a right to your opinion. I just disagree with it.

I'm not the one carrying this on and I'm certainly not the only one who could be accused of being "rude"; I'm not the one calling people names. I dropped this awhile ago but I will defend myself.

While we have never used "expired" FP's as a touring strategy, we have always been able to use them after the stamped time.

We have travelled w/ our three small children, as a couple, and with a group of friends. While most of the time we are able to return within our FP window, stuff happens and it isn't an exact science. Sometimes we return after the window has closed. We didn't get our FP's with that intent, but we have always been able to use them.

Let's play nice and remember that while it seems that FP's can be used outside thier window, it is best not to adopt that as your touring strategy. Disney rules are often carved in mud.

Well said. That's really the situation in a nutshell. If FastPass doesn't fit with a specific guest's needs, then they don't have to use it.

Aunt kelly, its funny you say that about soarin. We all got our FP at the same time and one person in our party got a later time. Well when our time came we walked over to the soarin FP entrance. It's happend to us many times someone always has a later time. But this guy makes us all wait two minutes because only one person had a later time. The funny thing was he was counting down to the seconds. We still see that Cast member, and when he's doing fastpass we make sure that were not a second early.
