Are they still doing this at Deluxe hotels

Can you still request turndown service at the deluxe hotels? It’s always been a little cherry on top for our stays at the Contemporary for the past 18 trips. I mean it’s not like I’m going to cancel the trip if they don’t put out the chocolate but my daughters, and grandkids always look forward (who am I kidding …. I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO IT). We will be headed out a week from tomorrow!

We have been coming to Disney regularly since 2017 from out of state, several times a year. Since 2018 we only stay at the deluxes and have gotten club level several times and no, I have no idea what you are talking about. Chocolates on pillows? At Disney Resorts? I feel lucky if they make an animal out of a towel or position one of the stuffed animals my son has gotten in a funny way. I always leave very generous tips everyday too for the housekeepers (they will actually show up everyday if you do this, FYI). I guess you could ask for turn down service but I've never seen it at Disney before. Only at Ritz Carltons in other cities.

You've never had turn down, since 2017, when staying CL?
Seems impossible. Until Covid it was daily in every CL stay we've had since 2013. And in all those years, we've stayed at every CL offered.

Pretty sure I still have the little cards they left us at WL and AKL. We got chocolates in all cases too

I never had turn down and I’ve stayed at Disney over a 100 times, some in club level. The only time I ever experienced it with chocolates on the pillow was when I stayed at the grand Californian at Disneyland

I’m not a fan of turn down service. I’ve experienced it twice at the Poly (standard room) on separate trips. Both times the maid scared the crap out of me, because I wasn’t expecting anyone in my room as I entered. I don’t need anyone leaving a chocolate on my bed.

Last time we stayed at GF standard room ( about 6 years ago ) we got turn down service w/ chocolates on the pillows. We stay deluxe and that was the only time and place we got it.

This was such a wonderful service we have great memories of as well! The last time we had it was in 2018 so it was certainly occuring then. Animal Kingdom Lodge CL would also leave little cards with sayings on your night table in addition to the chocolates, such a nice touch! Hopefully it will return one day!

The last time I had chocolates on my pillow at Disney was a standard room at GF in 2014.

You will barely feel any presence from housekeeping right now, they are just too short staffed and Disney doesn't feel the need to discount the rooms based on the missing housekeeping ammenities. I think they are also trying to reduce the amount of time housekeepers are in rooms that are currently occupied. Need new towels or sheets during your stay? They'll probably leave them in a bag outside your door.
