For the SADCT parade are the floats really snow-globe type things with the characters inside???

Yes they are, although the "snow" was removed as it apparently presented breathing difficulties. We spent forever wondering how the characters don't collapse from heat exhaustion in those things, they can't have A/C DH informs me as they would condense up.
