Are they bored!?

I am of the school of thought that you are either an amusement park person, or you are not. I know, there are people who may be tired etc, but many "just don't get it".
We had Sea World/Busch Gardens AP 2 years ago, Universal AP this year, and finally, for 2007 we will have WDW AP ! We have had many family members visit us the last couple of years since we have lived here. Some go with us because they truly want to go and some go because they think they are being polite by saying yes. Believe me, it is a ton more fun to go with someone who is having a good time. I also enjoy experiencing attractions with first timers, it makes our repeat experience just that much better.

I agree with you Supertink!! Forget the "whooping" but come on at least show some appreciation by a light clapping. How tired can you be?

I'd hate to put my heart into a performance and have large proportions of the audience looking back at me in silence.

I agree. I was a musical theater major, and I insist that my kids applaud for the performers.

We even have a family term for it, called the "Day 5 look".

How funny is that? We call it the 'Day 3 Face'! Maybe we're a day or two off.

I do think a lot of people are exhausted by mid-day but don't want to give it up and take that mid-day break. Some cultures also find it impolite to clap mid-way through a performance. I tend to be so engrossed in what's going on I don't necessarily think to do much more than clap at the right time.

I honestly don't think people are bored (some, maybe, but I'd guess they're in the minority). People just enjoy things in different ways.
