are they blocking ADR times for CP?

I tried to book Biergarten in December for 5:30pm yesterday - they could give me 4:40pm or 6:20pm - they had nothing in between. Do you think they are blocking out all those ADR times for CP packages?

I don't think so, I just think that a lot of people like my family included like to eat around 5:00pm-6:00pm.
And so when 5:00 starts booking up then people also go the other way and book 4:50, 4:45, 4:40,etc. trying to get closer to 5:00pm. Or if they want closer to 6:00pm then they go the other way and book 6:10, 6:15, 6:20, etc And also even when you book lets say 5:30 sometimes you still have to wait and don't get in until more like 5:45 or even closer to 6:00pm. So just all depends on what those people want when they are doing ADR.

Good luck and also you could pick the closest to the time you want and then keep checking because people always end up cancelling for one reason or another.

I don't know, but I think they are. I had the same problem trying to get an ADR for Marrakesh at 2:30.

I just think it's odd to be completely booked up at 7am on 182 days ahead of time! I'll keep trying...

I definitely think they are. We tried to get ADRs at two different WS restaurants, one had no tables until 8:50 p.m. the other only had around 4 p.m. I called at 7 a.m. on my 180 day and this was for our second day there.

You also have to remember that if you are staying on WDW resort you can book 180 + 10 days after your check in so if you are checked in 10 days before the standard 180 mark that is really day 170 for those who checked in 10 days before that day, not 180 days.
That is what happened for our dates for Thanksgiving Day. We were lucky because were are coming into WDW Nov.20 and were able to book for Thanksgiving Day and got the ADR we wanted due to the Plus 10 day rule when staying at WDW.

I stared a Thanksgiving day Thread and so many people when even checking in just a few days before Thanksgiving day still being under the 180 mark were not able to get any ADRs for Thanksgiving day at any for MK.

Yes, they are definitely holding tables back for the Candlelight Processional Packages. If not, they wouldn't have any packages to sell when they are released in August! You can't convert an existing ADR into a CP ressie. You need to cancel your existing ADR and book the new CP ADR. If there are no tables, how would they be able to sell packages?

I just made my ADR's at 7:00 a.m. today and on our last day, we are planning to do CP. I booked Le Celliar and could only get 4:50 or go with 8:00. I asked the CM when the CP packages will be available but she did not know. She indicated that it is not in the system yet. If I go by last year, then they should open them up first week of July.

Yeah, I think that is what they are doing. Once I booked Narcoosies (sorry about my spelling) exactly 180 in advance and they had to call me and request I change my reservation or pay the 100 a head for their new years party. I guess this year they are on the ball and just blocking out dates so things like this do not happen.
