Are these the best directions from MCO to WH?

I know some of you have "shortcuts" so I was wondering if these were the fastest directions from MCO to Windsor Hills. Our plane arrives at 5:00pm on a Tuesday so "of course" it will be rush hour! Thanks for the advice!


From Orlando International Airport (MCO)

• Take the SOUTH exit out of MCO and follow signs towards ‘Kissimmee and the 417 (South)’.
• Turn right onto the 417 (Greenway) heading SOUTH (signs read: Tampa/Disney Attractions) Note: 417 is a TOLL ROAD and will cost approx $3.
• Leave 417 at Exit 2 towards US-192 (Celebration exit)
• Keep in right lane towards US-192
• Turn Left at junction with US-192 (WEST)
• Proceed for 2 miles and turn left onto Old Lake Wilson Road. Windsor Hills is located one mile down on the right.

Those directions are good. Sometimes I get off at Exit 3, and turn left at the stoplight at Gaylord Palms. Just down the road, on the left past the underpass, is a Publix (Xentury City) where I like to shop. I understand there is now one closer to WH.

After shopping, I retrace my steps to Osceola Parkway, follow it all the way past Animal Kingdom, and then take the left on Sherbeth Road to get to 192. You could take 192 from the Publix, but I prefer Osceola if I shop at Xentury City.

Hi, this is the old tried and true way..Probably a little faster with no 192 traffic and not driving by Disney Wide World of Sports when it is all lit up (which is pretty cool!) is to stay on 417 toll to Exit 1 where it turns into I-4 west to Tampa...you will pay toll at either this exit or exit 2. Take I-4 for less than a mile and turn right onto toll 429 north. Go less than one mile and exit onto Sinclair...pay about 50 cent toll. Turn right on Sinclair to Old Lake Wilson. Turn left and go past Mystic Dunes resort and WH will be on your left. This is not as exiting but takes out all the stop lights on 192, but is kind of boring. If 192 is really crowded like at Christmas or mid summer at park closing this way is pretty nice. Old 192 is fun though as you get a good taste of Disney.
