Are these ressies hard to get?

Ok, because of uncertainty about the dates we are going we won't be able to start making reservations probably untill about 110-120 days before we go. I want to know which of these places I might have trouble getting into not being the whole 180 days out.

When are you going? Depending on when you go you shouldn't have a problem getting any of these 110-120 days out.

I think you should be able to get all of those as long as you are flexible on your days as long as you're not going at a very busy time. I think that Coral Reef and Crystal Palace would be the hardest to get. Do you have two specific dates ranges that you are shooting for? Perhaps you can double-book both date ranges and cancel the one you don't need.

We are supposed to go in in late October, but can't pin down the dates untill my sister gets the days, and they wouldn't give them 6 monthes out. She was assured the dates were okay, but it's not official and we don't want to count our chickens before they hatch. I mean if she's unlucky they could push her to November or tell her no flat out. She has the time coming, but the military can be a major pain about leave. I will talk to her about making ressies at some of the harder to get ones now, but we can't get the HDDR untill the ddp is purchased because of pre-pay.

I would make them for the dates you think you are going and then change them if you need to.

Sci-Fi Dinner was surprisingly hard to get. I expected LeCellier to be difficult, and it was. But I didn’t expect the others to be. I called at exactly 7:00 AM on the first day that I could reserve for our trip in December and while we were booking Sci-Fi the CM mentioned that the tables were going quick, right before her eyes as we were trying to book ours. We were able to get the last table available for that day...thank God. But, I really didn't expect it to be that hard. I called at 7:00 A.M.! I am not sure about the others you have. We were able to get a dinner at Crystal Palace pretty close to the time we wanted, but I guess they were going fast too. Coral Reef wasn't bad, we were able to get what we wanted. Kind of crazy, even at 180 we had a hard time getting some of our desired times.

I don't know about Sci Fi, but some restaurants don't open up all of their reservations at once, so if you called at 180 they may have opened up a few more the next day and the next, etc.

I have tried to get Coral Reef for dinner on my last 2 trips, March 07 and upcoming September. Both weeks no dinner times available for a party of 2 the entire week. I will keep calling back for September, but back in March nothing every opened up.
I would say if you want Coral Reef call as soon as your window opens.
They did have plenty available for lunch though.

When I made my ADRs for Coral Reef in September the CM told me that a reservation for 2 is very hard to come by because of limited seating for 2 in the restaurant. I did get a reservation but its later then most of my other ones.

That's interesting. I didn't know that. Thanks for the scoop. I think I may try calling again over the next month or so to see if I can get a single table for 6 at LeCellier.

I do recommend that the OP call as soon as possible to at least get something reserved, you can always cancel if you won't be using them, even the CM suggested that. Then even if you cancel at 110-120 out, at least a spot opens up for someone trying to get a ressie with less than 180.

I just made an ADR for the Crystal Palace dinner today and we are about 3 months out from our trip. It was an hour later than I wanted but still at a decent time. It is possible to get an ADR less than 180 days out.

I made my ADRs for this july 4-9 about 2 weeks ago and was able to get everything: california grill,yachtsman,narcooses,jikos,chefs de france. So maybe you wont have a problem either I am going by myself. Don't know if that makes a difference
