Kodak EasyShare Z8612 IS
Fujifilm FinePix S8000fd

I went on the comparision website and I found out I can afford either of these (used) from amazon. Which is better?

At first I was going to go with the Fuji because it has a wider range (27mm-486mm) and because the sensor size is not that much of a difference. However, when I looked closer the Kodak has some features that beat the Fuji; for instance, a faster shutter speed and a broader range on the aperture. Plus, the Kodak can take a longer picture for longer exposures (think fireworks, etc.) But the Fuji can take RAW pictures which gives you a little bit more room for error to fix exposure and such in post processing. If it was ME (and please, wait for the smarter people to chime in as well before deciding) I would lean more towards the Fuji just because I really like shooting in RAW and the other differences aren't THAT huge, but that's my .02.

I ask cause I dont know. I shoot curently in Jpeg since thats what my camera offers but I hate the fact sometimes I cant fix a mediocer shot. I know im frustrated that my current camera cant do long shots (zoom?) very well.
