Are these "Attraction Re-Entry" Passes legitimate?

We are going to WDW this week, and I saw these "Attraction Re-entry" Fast Passes listed for sale on eBay:

cgi.ebay.com/50-Disney-FastPass-Passes-Tickets-Fast-Pass-Re-Entry-/190416076092?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Tickets_Experiences&hash=item2c55aebd3c

I have heard that there are bogus Attraction Re-entry passes that don't have an expiration date, but these do have an expiration date. Does anyone know if these are legitimate and actually accepted at the Magic Kingdom? Surprisingly, the eBay member selling those tickets has a few positive feedbacks left by folks who bought and apparently were able to use the passes. But are these actually "the real deal?"

Thanks...

only one way to find out if they are 'the real deal'...so do you want to 'dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?'

personally i would just 'swim away, swim away!'

That's the thing... is this really too good to be true? Since these have an expiration date and others have purchased these and left positive feedback, I figured there was a *chance* these could be real. Does anyone know for sure?

um, okay, sure...they are real.

jsut so you know, FP's are free a the parks. Disney does not sell them and while i don't have a copy of their fine print, i'd be willing to bet they are not for resale.

it is actually against DIS policy to advise on how to break the rules.

These seem to have an advantage over regular FP's in that they can be used at any time (like Universal's Express Passes), but I don't want to risk getting escorted out of Disney World in handcuffs or something...

Stated in there:

"These passes are reserved for VIP guests, special groups, guests of Disney employees and those guests that experience service issues; getting stuck on a ride or in line for an attraction that broke down for a long period of time, for example."

The question is, how would a person get their hands on so many of them all at once? Why wouldn't they use them on their own? What could this person possibly be doing, in an allowed manner, that allows them to get so many?

I can't figure out anything that's on the up and up, to explain this. So I wouldn't want to have part in such a thing, even if they worked.

This past May, I spotted a man accidentally dropping his photopass in Toon Town. I grabbed it, ran to catch up, and handed it to him. His eyes got huge, jaw dropped, and said "Oh @#$%, thank you!" I think he saw his life flash before him in anticipation of his wife murdering him for losing their Disney memories so carelessly!:rotfl2:

Anyway, 5 minutes later, he came back to me and handed my wife and I FOUR of these passes, which did not expire for about a week, in thanks. We were thankful and pleasantly surprised. Then after he walked off and we looked closer, we were saying to each other, "What the heck, are these real???"

So we sheepishly approached Space Mountain about an hour later, unsure of what would happen when we tried to use it. I handed handed the slip to the attendant, who had just checked times on a stack of passes handed to her by another family. She looked at it, smiled, and said, "Perfect!"

So yeah, that pass type is 100% real - and since the pass has dates on it I would assume these specific passes are real. Not that I agree with selling them on eBay, or buying them, but I have no reason to doubt their legitimacy!

I can't comment on whether or not the passes are legit, and I haven't looked at the eBay listing itself, but I just want to say that I understand that it is NOT all that difficult for sellers to manipulate the "positive feedback" mechanism on eBay. My understanding is that if a seller has hundreds of positive feedback postings listed it is more likely legit, and if they have fewer than 50 those could have been fabricated.

Not an expert here, just sharing what I've heard in case it helps.

I read the listing and the seller even admits being not responsible if you cannot use them due to a "Dopey" cast member or for any other reason. I would not chance it. While they may be legit, who knows what could happen once you get there and actually use them, you know?

Technically, what you are 'buying' is a TSM pin...with the FPs as a bonus.
Would I buy FPs through eBay? Absolutely not. Those passes were not obtained legally. Some CM got them and is trying to profit from them, or someone has found a way to copy them well enough that CMs are fooled.
Do you really want to support this type action?? I don't.
It is against board guidelines to offer ways around Disney policy....I have a hard time believing that Disney thinks this is okay...eBay sure doesn't, which is why you are buying a 'pin' not FPs.
Just saying.

I also have to wonder about someone who's first posts, here on the DIS is about for sale FPs on eBay, with a link. That's a bit suspicious to me.

Those are legitimate passes and employees can easily gather that many in a short period of time.

And if they can get their friends who are also employees to gather them as well --- well...that is how this seller is selling so many.

There are expiration dates on them but they are good for any ride that has a FP and can be used all day long - no set time frame.

And no...I am not the seller nor an employee. My DD's best friend works at Disney and we have annual passes. He gives us a few when we go to the park to get on our youngest DD's favorite rides.

aren't these item prohibited on Ebay? I heard a few years back that Disney did/ebay got ride of all these sellers on ebay, it is against policy.

I would report this seller.

If it is against the board policy and you find the OP motive suspicious, as the Moderator shouldn't you remove the link to the auction? (all of it- now we can copy past- that is how I found the auction) :confused3

found this with a google search:

An article on the Orlando Sentinel this week reported that Disney Officials are going to crack down on eBay auctions for expired and counterfeit FastPass (FP) tickets. I’ve always been amazed at the gall of people who even try to auction these things and slightly perturbed that people pay for something they can obtain for free!

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2008-07-08/news/fastpass08_1_fastpass-tickets-ebay-expired-tickets

"All recent FastPass tickets are stamped with a time and date, and with the warnings "NOT FOR SALE," "Valid only on date printed" and "Nontransferable." Suarez said Disney World ride and attraction attendants are instructed to reject any FastPass not stamped with the current date and time, as well as any tickets that are so old that they are not stamped with a date at all."

Ya and if I listed something on ebay with my account and my wife bought them with her account, she could leave me positive feedback saying she bought a 1,000 FP from me and they all worked great.
See what I mean?
You have no idea if that feedback is accurate.
