Are there two dues levels at Vero?

I was scoping out the resale boards (for fun), and saw a posting for a Vero contract for sale with the dues listed as "lower dues" @$3.50/pt instead of $4.67. Are there separate "dues" levels at Vero for different contracts (early purchasers?)?

yes, i believe the subsidized lower dues are for people who purchased before 1/1/96.

there was yet another level of subsidy a few years ago that ended in 2000 i think?
i don't have any data on that subsidy.

check out the Dues History link below in my sig for a summary of the currently existing 2 different levels of Vero dues.

So if you by one of these contracts, you get to pay less for your VB dues. Was thisdifference the result of the resort being downscaled after a number of contracts sold? Will dues on the early contracts always be lower?

It may be that they will continue to have the lower dues for the life of the contract. I think DVC may not have put in an end for the subsidy in the original contracts (they did for later contracts). The resort only began sales in October 1995 and it's pre-1/1/1996 that still qualifies for the subsidy so there must only be a very lucky few folks out there. These purchasers pay dues based on costs being split by 266 Vacation Homes. All others are currently paying based on 175 Vacation Homes.

Thanks Pam..that will be a nice perk for some resale buyer.
