My 2 brothers just came back from Disney in March and they said they couldn't find Cheese Steaks. They went to Pinocchio's in MK for lunch and cheese steaks were no longer on the menu. So when they went back to All Star they check the food court and again no longer on the menu. If you check the menu for MK cheese steaks are still listed but Pinocchio's said they got rid of them a while ago.
In Nov. 2007 they still had them. So did Disney do away with cheese steaks? Has anyone had one recently? It is driving my brothers crazy thinking they can no longer get cheese steaks. They loved Pinocchio's first it was the cheese burger and then the free melted cheese and now the cheese steaks. What are they going to do now or should I say eat:rotfl:

I cannot say for the other restaurants, but the Plaza atthe Magic Kingdom has a wonderful cheesesteak.

We had them at The Plaza too and also at the POFQ food court. They were delicious!

They're still on the menu for Beaches & Cream....hoping they stay there, I want one in November!

Hmmmm......what's a cheese steak? A steak with melted cheese on top? :confused3

I looked for them everywhere when we were there in December. I kept telling the rest of the family how great they were. I had a few chese steak sandwiches on previous trips to the US and loved them.

But alas I couldn't find them on our last trip. Oh well I know where to go on our next trip to WDW.

I have had them at the Plaza. My brothers will only go to Pinocchio's:confused3 They were told as of Nov. They were taken off the menu and they were not on the menu at Allstar either in March. I hope they are still on the menus in July at the Plaza, that is the only thing my DH eats at the Plaza.

I'm in a little bit of shock that you don't know what a cheese steak is. But I ought to remind myself that not everyone grew up in eastern PA...

It's veeeery thinly sliced beef (top round, ribeye, etc), on a soft crusty roll, topped with some cheese (whiz, american, provolone are all acceptable) and usually onions. There's a variety of other toppings but that's the classic.

They have a cheese steak wrap at Pop food court. It was delish!! I still crave them and havent been able to find a substitute here at home.

A real cheesesteak should look like the one in the photo here:

Are the WDW cheesesteaks anything like this?

I have a rule--I don't eat them outside of a 60 mile radius of Philadelphia, nor do I eat anything called a "Philly" cheesesteak (if it needs that label then it's too far away from home  ).

I agree with the cheesesteak wrap at Pop being tasty. It was really good, minus the extra bread from a roll.

LOL!! Nope...never heard of it referred to as a cheese steak!! We do have something similiar here but I've only heard it referred to as a steak sandwich. However, being Canadian, I can tell YOU all about cohogs, poutine, tortierre & maple sugar poured on snow!!! Different strokes for different folks I guess!

Why would someone from Jersey want a cheesesteak at WDW? The best cheesesteaks are in Southeast PA and South Jersey. I go to the Jersey shore every year or two and I try to get my fill of cheesesteaks and Mack and Manco pizza to last me a year. It never works. I could eat those two things 365 days a year.:rotfl2:

lol I totally agree!!!!! I'm glad i'm not the only one who gets annoyed when someone calls it a Philly Cheesesteak. Now I think I need to ask...Pats or Genos?

I think that they would get sent to the end of the line at Pats.:rotfl2:

Actually, neither anymore. I'm much closer to NE Philly, so it's Steve's or Chink's. The Grey Lodge Pub has a good one, too.

If you want a Cheesesteak go to Philly or the NJ shore (Philly Jr.). Otherwise it isn't and shouldn't be called a cheesesteak. First ingredient of a Philly Cheesesteak: Amoroso roll...and the congregation said "Amen". :worship:

Ahhh....I miss those cheesesteaks. Down here...they put mayo, lettuce and tomato on them. Can you imagine?! I order them my way with some pizza sauce on the side.
