Pineapple said:Your card demagnetized too? I had to call guest services to open our safe too. It was odd. My KTTW card worked fine for opening the door but wouldn't open the safe. I always kept my KTTW card in its own pocket in my trousers, away from my wallet and other cards. The only thing that was close to my card for any duration of time was the FRS radio. That has a magnet in there for the speaker.
Either that or we're just magnetic personalities.
Boy I did I feel dumb when I finally figured that one out!!!To clarify for those unfamiliar, you must re-open the safe with the same card which locked it. Once it's unlocked, another person can use their card. Or, in the case of the clever person who posted before, you can just use an old ATM card! (I'm still marveling over that one.)GreatDaneMom said:The safe is real handy. Just don't do what we did...it seems that once you use the safe with one occupant's KTTW card, no other card can be used. I used mine and then like an idiot couldn't figure out why DH couldn't use his.Boy I did I feel dumb when I finally figured that one out!!!
