Are there really protesters at Ground Zero?

I really don't like that there might be protesting going on at Ground Zero today. I really HATE it! I DO NOT think it's "sick and twisted" or "disgusting" though. It could be people directly related to the disaster, maybe even people who have lost family members and don't like how things have been handled. If so, I gotta give them their due. I am amazed at how I still shudder at this event's remembering. It truly changed my life. I also hope the President keeps his comments personal only in remembering and non political. It's just not the day for political gain or loss, we have much more to think about.

Unfortunately sad to say it was true...but these "people" aren't protesting the war, they are out there making a statement that 9-11 is a some kind of conspiracy :confused3 I forget what their group is called, I won't waste brain cells retaining it ..but apparently they are down there everyday and this morning there was a shoving match between them and some grievers and respectful people there for the memorial services, it broke up pretty quickly, I HOPE they were arrested but don't know for sure....heartless and shameful :sad1:

OMG, those 9/11 conspiracy theorists really just take the cake, don't they? :furious:

Did anyone else read the subject and immediately think "Anne Coulter"?

Not to be too political about this whole deal, but since you asked... my first thought was "Cindy Sheehan"

VERY SAD! I can't believe some people. They can't give one day to the families? :sad2:

You must have a much higher threshold for kinda stuff. Me, I have no problems saying it's all that and more.

Free speech??? How's about RESPECT for the dead and their survivors.

COmpletely innappropriate and morally reprehensible..And I don't care what the protest is about. It is wrong..Sickening

Don't know if it's true... but I could believe it. There are groups from both ends of the political spectrum that think it's OK to protest outside of military hospitals and military funerals, so I wouldn't view such protests as being much of a stretch.

If there are protesters, I find their actions very misplaced and tasteless.

I totally agree. The protestors should be ashamed of themselves.

As someone against the Iraq war, I find any protest at any memorial service or funeral for ANY reason totally disgusting. There is a time and place, this is neither. I hope all the media outlets ignore them (other then maybe mentioning it in passing so we know how horrible these "people" are).

yup it's true..I just heard it on the radio...an iron worker confronted some of them and was going to kick some ***..but didn't. (too bad)

here is their web site.... crap

"On Mon. the 11th, we need to have thousands of truth patriots in black T-shirts at Ground Zero, New York City at 8 am for a dignified, respectful display of solidarity with the victims and their families."

I'm listening right now. To hear Rudy Guiliani describe how the firefighters calmly went into the buildings.....

Hi all,
Yes,there are protesters at ground zero.Thats not a first there.Sadly some of these same protesters showed up at FDNY funerals for guys in my dept that were killed.A whole police force had to be there to protect them, today as well as at FDNY funerals. If you had to go to one of your best friends funerals would you want to see this. They even held signs mocking and making fun and disrespecting the FDNY at FDNY guys funerals,it took a lot of strenght not to want to beat the poop out of them.I even took a pic of one such protest,This was taken at a funeral home were 2 FDNY guys were laid out, soon after the sept 11 attacks. These morons should be ashmed of themselves,i can understand ones freedom to protest, but This was not the place to do it. :sad2:

:sad2: I got words for those "people" that would get me banned from here. I don't care about freedom of protest and speech and all that jazz. That is absolutely disgusting and none of those times (now or funerals) are the time or place for that. And FDNY sin?! Give me a freaking break
I think what gets me most though are the smiles on their faces. It is SICK

That is disgusting. I can't even express how sick that makes me feel. They should be ashamed of themselves. That's horrible. Just horrible. :sad2:
