Are there really any "bad" POR AB locations??

Hi,
We're a family of five blessed with good health. Looking at the POR AB map it seems like all the buildings would be fine for us. Am I missing something? I remember reading somewhere that one of the bus stops is way more crowded than another. I guess being closer to a quiet bus stop would be nice. Anyway, what buildings would you AVOID and why? Thanks POR veterans!

We have stayed in building 25 and building 15 and as far as crowded bustops go, I would say, the front stop outside the main house, which was near bldg#15 was always more crowded. the 2 times we went were both middle May and we noticed alot of people coming to the main bus stop after getting breakfast from the Food Court. But we never had a problem getting a seat on the bus at either stop. I just love it there!! Can't wait to go back, the countdown is on!! :wave2:

I would recommend that you try to avoid a room too near a "quiet" pool, because it isn't quiet! One year we were in AB #17, on the first floor. We're early to bed, early to rise types so it really bothered us-especially since it wasn't quiet.

I don't think the concern is how crowded the bus stops are, but the WALKING involved after you get off the buses. Please heed my warning, if you don't request to be near the main bldg. or very near another bus stop, you will do alot of walking and after a very full day at the parks, that is the last thing you want.
If it is important to you to be near the food court and the main bldg. (which we love, its great to go grab some milk and juice for the next morning at the gift shop late at night), then request bldg's 14 or 15. Our personal fav. is 15, it is a very short walk to the bus stop through a path way and very close to the food court. Good luck! You will love this resort, especially the slide at the main pool, how fun!!

We were in building 25 last Thanksgiving and, while it wasn't close to the food court, it was perfect for the West bus stop. We didn't mind the walk to the food court. It was nice being able to stoll through the buildings looking at the flora and fauna. Just follow the gray brick road.

Building 26 is FAR from everything.
It is especially far from the lobby, the parking lots, and the bus stops. Especially in the middle of the night while hot and tired!

I was very glad someone was sleeping in my bed and I got moved to the mansions!:rotfl:

Hi Everybody,
Thanks for all the good info. We're really looking forward to staying at POR. Originally we had reservations at SOG but got moved due to their construction delays. Other than SOG, we've only stayed at CB (and the main pool was closed for repairs!) The kids will love the pool slide at POR. I'm going to jot down everyone's building suggestions and look at the map again. I guess it would be a good idea to make a request instead of getting randomly stuck somewhere. I think POR will be very crowded when we're there (Feb 11-15). Thanks again for your help!
