IMO every person they sell DVC puts more strain on the current parks.
We would never dream of going to WDW as often as we do, if not for owning DVC. I woulod imagine other people are like that also.
IMO DVC has brought more and more and more people to the parks, on a yearly basis, yet the parks haven't changed much in size since AK.
At some point in time, wouldn't WDW need to add more park space prior to selling anymore DVC?
I disagree. Every person they sell DVC to drains guests from regular hotels. DVC has very little impact, overall, on attracting folks to Orlando, in itself.IMO every person they sell DVC puts more strain on the current parks.
That last bit is news to me. Why are people saying that? Has the market reached saturation? That would make sense to me. With SSR, there are A LOT of DVC rooms out there now. It very-well may make lots of sense to focus on building smaller DVC add-ons to deluxe resorts; that does seem to be what the market is willing to pay the most for.The announced plan is for Eagle Pines which was put on hold by Disney. Most people doubt it will ever be built however.

My best guess is a DVC at the Contemporary Resort, replacing the existing North Garden Wing.

Happy Birthday Cat said:It was my opinion based on what I read here, on other web sites and in other media outlets. We agree on the future focus. Look at how fast and how popular the BCV and VWL were. It only makes sense to not do any big stand-alone projects like EP and concentrate on smaller projects (with existing infaststructure) like the Contemporary.
If anyone thinks Eagle Pines will ever be built, I'd love to hear why.
