Are there clothes hangers in the rooms? I want to do laundry, but I always hang up our clothes to dry. Also, I keep reading on here where everyone takes beach towels, but I thought the resorts provide towels for the pool. Is this no longer true? Oh, and I just thought to ask--do they provide a sheet for the crib/pack-n-play?

Yes, there are hangers in the rooms. Sometimes not that many.

As far as pool towels go, they are available at the pools, at least at the moderate and higher resorts.

In the values there is a note that states to take a room towel to the pool as they are not provided there. You can however, get as many towels as you want/need for the room by calling housekeeping so it really is not an issue, they are certainly big enough to be used as pool towels. Its all your own prefernce and available suitcase space.

Beach towels are useful at the water parks. You have to rent towels there, or if you bring your room towels, you must bring them back to the room. A colorful beach towel will help you find your space in the sea of white towels. Some people buy new towels as a keepsake, others bring really old towels with them & leave them behind to free up space in their suitcase for trip purchases.

You can also call Mousekeeping for extra hangers. that's what we have done as soon as we get in the room. I read that tip on these boards and have used it 2x, once they even asked me how many so I said 10 and they brought them right up!

We never have enough hangers either, so we save up the metal ones from the drycleaner to take w/ us. After we are done, we just throw them away.

for those that have stayed at the POFQ and POR, will their be towels by the pools or should we request some and bring those to the pools ??

thanks !

We brought hangers from home last May. We also used towels from POR pool. We are staying at POP this Sept. and I did not realize that POP pools do not provide pools. Thanks for that tip!

I posted this earlier in the thread too but I think it needs reposting-call Mousekeeping! they will bring them to you. I asked for @20 hangers once at POP and once at CR and had no problem. WAY easier than brining anything from home!!!!!:confused3

We were at POR last week and yes there were towels at the quiet pools(we didn't use the main pool-to crowded). There is a clothes line in your bathroom also. We didn't know it was there until we returned from the parks one day and my kids swim suits were hanging on a line in the shower. It's a silver circle on the back wall of the shower that when you pull the circle in the middle, the line stretches. You then hook it into the slot by the shower head. I wondered what that thing was too..lol

I also take extra metal or plastic hangers (the kind that come with the clothes - Target, Walmart, Penneys, etc) and throw them away at the end of the trip. We also travel with old fashioned clothes pins, one for each of us with our names in permanent market. This way we can mark towels that we want to re-use. That idea came from someone else on this board long, long ago.
