Macy's has their Friends and Family Sale beginning Dec 4 - it is 25%off and includes Northface - they were actually taking pre-orders in the stores this past weekend (they actually take your item put it in a bag and give you a "pick-up" receipt for on or after 12/4). We ended up doing the pre-sale for a Northface for my DD - I bought myself a Northface at the sale last year but by the time I went in the colors in my size were limited, so I figured we'd have them hold the one DD wanted while I knew they had it.

last year I remember printing a coupon from online. For the "pre-sale" on 11/10, they had a code they scanned at the register, not sure what will be needed when the sale actually starts (seems like if I didn't need anything for the pre-sale, any coupon, if needed, should be easy to get once the actual sale starts).

The Northface my DD wanted was regularly $99, so I paid $74.25 (the sales person told me it wouldn't charge until the sale date (12/4), but I see the charge pending now) - best deal I've seen on them.

Just bought an Osito at Marshall's for $59.99. It is a funky green, kind of a chartreuse. My dd loves funky colors though so I think she will love it. Now I need to find another one for older dd.

I did this today in my Macys (I live in NJ). The personal shopper office handled it. She saw me looking at the jackets and told me about the presale. I just have to go back on our after December 4th to pick it up! She said last year they were fighting over them so its best to do the presale.

My friend got one for her daughter last year at Macy's in April or May for around $30.00. Sizes and colors are limited. She happened to luck out.

The best I've seen is somewhere around 35% off. Sometimes higher, but you need to really read the reviews of those jackets, to make sure there isn't something that caused a deeper discount. I bought my current NF a couple of years ago in March and got 35% off.
