We are looking to plan our annual family Girl's only trip, celebrating two 50th birthdays! :cheer2:
We are planning on booking rooms at the DLH for the last week of June.
Is there ever a price break closer to the summer season? I will book now if I think the price will always be $400 a night, but if there is any chance of even a bit better deal, I may wait....
Any thoughts, past experiences, etc?
Thanks in advance

right now it is $300 a night, I cannot believe how damn expensive it is I mean come on! Even with the premium annual pass discount it is way too much!!

The spring deals are coming to an end soon. I suspect that the summer deals if there are any will be announced mid to late march or early april. We called 407-W-Disney yesterday and they said to check back then.

You can book now with a changeable reservation and then change it if the price gets better. We have done that.

Given that you're going shortly after Cars Land is rumored to open, I think Larina's idea is a good one. I'm not sure if they will have many price breaks for June, though I seem to recall someone saying prices do go down a bit as the trip date draws nearer (to a point--somewhere along the line they spike up again).

$400 is the highest price I've heard for the DLH, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if the price went higher (!!!). Surprised, maybe, but not shocked.

Last year, with our August trip, promotions didn't come out until a week before we left and I was able to get them applied to my current reservation-even though it had been paid in full-just needed to pay the change fee of $50. I believe you have 30 days out for cancellation (verify this). I'd just go ahead and book and hope for the best.

I'm really really hoping for some discounts too. (we're heading there in August, and the difference from last year is obscene. (have a 3yo this year) ETA: For the exact same week last year, this year is pricing $1k more for 4 nights.

I have seen prices of $700+ for the DLH, even with AP discounts before, so I would book the $400 as prices are bound to go up, especially with Cars Land. Another good option would be to rent points from DVC members, you can probably get a room at around $220-$300 per night or so at the DLH, maybe even less, but if it is a bsuy season, you would have to do so soon.

I don't recall what the DLH rates were in early Summer but in July and August they were $435, just under the GCH rates, all for standard rooms.
