We are heading back to the US/IOA in December for a few days and we are thinking of getting AP's to use this year and next June. While much cheaper than Disney AP's, between the buying the two sets of APs we are really stretching our vacation budget for this year. Are there ever any deals on US AP's?

Sometimes but there haven't been any really good deals for a while now. Just keep your eyes open to see what might happen in the upcoming months.

Yeah, the deal is buy it now instead of at the increased price which is sure to come soon. Also, you can pay in 12 monthly installments.

Look at the AAA website for deals. We are getting a better price from AAA for our PAP renewals than we would get buying them from Universal, but not by very much. However they are having a good deal on 7-day passes so you may see something come up for the annuals.

Years ago they used to have buy one year get a second deal all the time,I haven't seen it in a while,I bought my first Universal AP almost 10 years ago with one of these deals, like $165 for 2 years. Then for years they also had renewal prices of $99 and then $109 up until last year, this year with Harry Potter opening that $109 went up to $149 which I have to pay this month since the pass is expiring, this is for the preferred pass.

The AP renewal rate has increased from $109 to $149??????? :scared1: That is a big hike.. I guess I am use to it being "cheap"....

Sadly, that appears to only be for FL residents :sad2:

You can also buy one preffered annual pass to get the free parking and one regular annual pass, that can save you a little money.

Only FL Residents can purchase the Power Pass that does not give you free parking. Some have been able to get around that and buy it at the park but it is all about who you get at Customer Service :)

Exactly...they need to be consistant. It makes for a lot of confusion for everyone who is interested.

I just got quoted $212.99 to upgrade our AP's from preferred to premium for the last 3 months of our passes and then to have premium for next year. If the renewal on the preferred is currently $149 it seems like a pretty good deal to me. What do you guys think? It will save us money on Express passes (we usually buy express at least once a trip) and I think we will end up visiting more after 4pm when we can use it. Also valet appeals to us and we always prefer park so it will save us $4 a trip in that.

It all depends on if you will use the extra perks. Since you have interest in valet and Express after 4pm, it will probably be a good deal for you. Just remember...everyone in the party has to have a Premier AP to use the free Express...not just one person.

Again though...if you think you will get your money's worth out of it...go for it!

Power pass can only be purchased by Florida residents as we found out last week when we inquired at Guest Services.

Thanks Metro West. Luckily there is just us 2 so we will both have them at all times :goodvibes
