Are there DVC style site rentals?

..does that question make sense?
Are there people that rent reserve (or whatever) a campsite for a season, that you can rent from?
We're trying to scramble together a last minute trip and it looks like all the site are sold out. Our dates are pretty much fixed unfortunately. Weird. I checked last night, and the night before and nothing was sold out.

Campsites aren't "seasonal". Just keep checking the site or change your dates by adding more to the beginning or end of your ressie - later you can cancel the days you don't need. Perhaps you can change the "type" of site you want? What are the dates you're trying to get?

If your planned trip is not too soon in the future (less than 3 months), we've had lots of success stories on here of people piecing together ressies that they could get until they made it for the fully desired time.

But you have to be persistant!

Something was wrong with the website. I called and there was plenty of sites left...
But....
Now I need to decide rv/trailer rental from a local or pick up and drive in??? Good problem!

Hmmm.
I know that they were having a problem with the dining ressies 180 days out.
I had to call. It wouldn't let me do it online.

I have also seen the issue you saw where no availability was shown when I was sure they had some.
In my case it seemed to happen when I chose the generic "**** Campground ****" resort category.
When I modified the search to select "The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort" instead, then I saw site availability.

Just thought I would post in case anybody else runs into the same issue...
