for folding those darn sheeets? I try & try & just can't do them....my mom folds them beautifully about the size of a towel & she's shown me but I still can't get it! HELP ME!

Don't know, but I'll give you a *bump* for ya. I do ok, it's the fitted sheet on the bottom that I can ever fold right.

I never fold sheets!!! Here is what I do: Each bed has at least 2 sets of sheets that fit it. Thus one set is on the bed while one is in the laundry basket. On the day I change the sheets, I wash the sheets that are in the laundry basket, strip the bed of the dirty sheets, put fresh-out-of-the-dryer sheets on the bed and put the dirty sheets into the laundry basket to await their turn next week. An even simpler way is to just keep using the same set of sheets! Strip the bed, wash the sheets, put sheets back on bed! You NEVER have to fold sheets again!! My life improved greatly when I adopted this system!! :goodvibes

Hey, that's my system - isn't it great - and extra bonus is more room in the linen closet

Thanks for the info! I've tried that way for years & it just doen't work for me I still end up w/a balled up mess~ I never can get it all smooth! of course I don't try on a table I"m always on the bed...

BUT I"m really thinking of trying the other method os washing & putting backon the bed...maybe I'll store the 1 extra set of sheets on the mattress or something so it won't be in the closet...HAHA...I do have too many sheets - more than just 1 for each bed - of course non of my sheets are a full set I think they are all mix-n-match....

I do this too! I don't think I could fold a fitted sheet if my life depended on it!

You are not alone! My mother has shown me too many times to count and I still can't do it. I have adopted the method of many of the rest here. Wash and put back on the bed. :earboy2:

Myst

Here's how to fold a fitted sheet.

I too have adopted the "one set of sheets" rule. I don't understand why multiple sets of sheets are even necessary. ok - well, I have cotton and flannel (and after each are in "storage" for X months, they have to be washed before they go back on the bed. So they can sit, in a ball, in the linen closet. heheh)

Ok, I fold my fitted sheets like this but they certainly don't turn out anywhere near as neat as those. I fold my pillow cases, put them on top of the sort of folded fitted sheet then I fold the top sheet, which is easy to fold neatly, the long way until it is about a foot wide. I then place the sort of fitted sheet and the pillow cases on the top sheet and wrap them up like a burrito. They LOOK like they are folded neatly and fit nicely into the linen closet. It has the added bonus of having everything together when you go to make the bed.
