Are there Daily Specials at Brown Derby?

I've been to the Brown Derby three times now, and each time I've been underwhelmed. Well, I'm headed back for a fourth time! I am traveling with a friend and BD is her favorite place, so we're going for lunch.

Looking over the menu at allears, there isn't much that appeals to me. Are there menu items I am missing? I am hoping there are daily specials which might give me more choices. I love short ribs, but who seriously wants to eat short ribs in the middle of the day - before going on a roller coaster!?

If the allears menu is complete, I'll probably order the crab cake and the tortelloni appetizers. Is this enough for lunch?

Brown Derby - went twice in Dec. 2010. Our waiter said the menu changes every so often.... wasn't sure... but there was a different seafood dish than the whiskey glazed salmon. Instead, I had black grouper and it was very good. And I liked the oyster and brie soup (odd combo but tasted very good). Read all about it in my review (link below). The menu on allears.net is dated Dec. 2010 and that's what we had when we were there.

You could just go for a Cob Salad, it's huge and one of the cheapest things on the menu. Plenty big for a lunch.

I've had the Cobb, twice. It is just meh. Everything is chopped up so fine it reminds me of tabbouleh. I like tabbouleh the way it is supposed to be, but not blue cheese tabbouleh - LOL!

My sister (who eats fish, but not other meat) has made a meal exactly out of the two apps you mentioned...the crab cakes and the tortelloni. It was yum and plenty for her. The deserts are good too!

It's one of our favs, sorry your experiences haven't been that great.
