We are going to be arriving Jan 15, 2005, I have heard that there are cribs available. Should I call the resort now and try to reserve one or do they allow advance reservation at all? Thank you.
They only have the pak-n-plays. You'll find them in the closet of each of the villas. You can ask when you check in for a full size one as suppossedly they still have a handfull of them but they won't guarantee them. The full size ones are ugly metal and look like a hospital crib and do not have fitted sheets. If you have a toddler who needs a full size crib and won't fit the pak-n-plays you can either get bed rails at no charge if that will work or if you'll be there for long enough, you may want to rent a crib from www.abbf.com . They're very nice and they'll bring it right to your room/villa at the resort and have it set up for you.
They do have a pack n play in the closet. If you need a crib you can request it at check in or call housekeeping from your room. It is on a first come first serve basis and if one is not available you will be put on a waiting list and they will bring it to you when it is available. You can call CRO and have them put the request on the ressie. This helps but still won't gaurantee it. Don't call the resort itself.
On our visit in Nov. I had requested it on our ressie, also at check in and called housekeeping once in the room. They had none available and I was mad and was told by housekeeping "you should've requested it on the ressie" well, I did and had proof!! At first they kept saying, it's in the closet. It took awhile to explain I needed a real crib, DS will not sleep in a pack n play! We were told we'll be put on the waiting list. We left the room and when we returned that night it was there. They obviously felt bad and had a huge Mickey balloon tied to the crib! They had put away the pack n play(I had it set up b/c I thought I would try it)and set the crib up with DS blanket, and stuffed toys, really cute!
Just wanted to add that yes the crib was metal, but was very clean, and worked fine and was safe. Although the side rails do not move and there are no fitted sheets, we bought one from home.
