Are There Bed bugs at Grand Californian?

So, we actually had a pest control company out to check after we found one sibgle possible bed bug just walking on the ceiling in our bathroom. He came out to collect the bug for testing and looked at the mattresses, in the attic, etc. turns out what we had was a bat bug but you can't distinguish the two with the naked eye. He also found where bats were living in a vent at the top of our house! Ick! Anyway, point of the story is that he said bed bugs can go up to 9 months without eating. So, if we'd brought home bed bugs when we were visiting family last Christmas it was totally possible none of us had ever been bitten.

The good news about the bat bugs is they feast on the bats and when they're run off for good we can expect the bugs will go too.

What an inflammatory thread title!!
That goes beyond "I was wondering" and just sets a tone.

I've stayed at GC many times, never had an issue. You've got several people echoing this. You'll be fine.

My family and I are going to GC tomorrow and staying for a week. I called the front desk and asked them about the bed bug reports I had seen online. They said that none had been reported in the past 12 months and that if we see anything suspicious to call them right away. My fingers are crossed!
This thread is nearly 10 years old and I haven't seen any recent posts about bedbugs. Don't worry about it.

The only bug's we've seen on our trips to DLR are the ones in Bug's Land.

And we stayed at the GCH 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010 & 2012. We're staying there in October and I have no doubt it will be another bug free trip, as far as the hotel goes......

So,why dig up a 9 year old thread and bring it to the forefront?

Never had a problem with bed bugs at GCH in our multiple stays. But they can happen at ANY hotel if the people before you brought in bed bugs. Hazards of hotel stays. I've seen reports on TA from WDW about bed bugs every once in a while and when they are reported at Disney owned property people usually talk about how fast Disney addresses it. I wouldn't be anymore concerned about bed bugs at GCH that at any other moderate-deluxe hotel and I would find comfort in the reports that if it has ever happened Disney will take it VERY seriously.

General Tso didn't dig it up.

Either the person whose post from this year shows first did, OR there was some spammer in there who dug it up, then the spam was deleted but it was already brought up.

But GT didn't do it.
