Are there are rides where you miss things by going Express?

Hi All,

Are there any rides where you miss some of the experience by going through the Express line rather than the main line (I’ve heard Skull Island may be an example)?

FJ take's the 1# spot. Half of the experience of FJ is definitely going through the queue itself.

Other rides have little things here and there which are cool references to their film, or show, but FJ is definitely the ride where part of the experience truly is going through the queue as well. There is a reason why when it opened, there was a queue just for people to walk through the castle to take a tour.

I hear Men in Black has a fun queue, but in all the hundred of times we've done it we have only used the Express line. I recently heard there is a photo op in the Suess Trolly standby? Can anyone elaborate on that?

The Seuss Trolley line photo op is in front of a green screen. I'll pop up a pic of it.

Kong Skull Island, the EP queue is pretty unimpressive, just a series of hallways with some skull on top of ledges, nothing memorable. Same with Mummy ride, so I can imagine that those two standby lines might have more to see. With Escape from Gringotts, I was very surprised at how unimpressive the overall queue line experience is. I believe both standby and EP use esentially the same route. Walking into the bank is pretty cool but basically you just stand in a hallway with little to look at until you get to the film room and then the elevator. So I'd say Forbidden Journey, Kong and Mummy might be the three biggest.

YEa Forbidden Journey is defintely a must do queue for Potter fans. The whole queue is basically a tour of Hogwarts castle. So I'd defintely do it once then could use express for repeat rides.
Kong has a fun queue that is a bit like a haunt maze with a couple cool animatronics in it, if it's not long i'd recommend it too but not a total must see either.
Mummy has some fun props and interactive bits in the queue that are nice but again nothing you have to see.
The potter ones are defintiely the best for the immersive queues. Not 100% on Gringotts but from what i can tell it seems to pretty much follow the primary queue through all hte rooms of the bank so don't have to worry about missing out on stuff

Good thing about Gringott's is whatever is worth to see you can essentially walk in and walk back out (that's if the queue isn't that long and there isn't many people behind you), or peek into where the Goblins are from the outside and be done. For all I know, if you ask a ride attendant you might be able to ask if there is a line, or any section you can walk into to look into that area and then leave. The only reason to really wait for it is if you want to take a picture of the head Goblin that speaks right before going into the other section of the queue (a hallway) since he's so close to you.

For Gringott's definitely yes. We went in for early park hours and when we went to the entrance I asked about Express Pass and the cast member said that with early park hours they don't do EP at that time, so everyone went thru the stanby lines, which is the exact route and routes as the EP line, just more potential for twists and turns, so you miss nothing in the EP line, although there isn't really anything to miss.

Wow! Not much love for Gringotts queue! I think it’s a great one! Love the preshow and elevator too!

FJ- miss the dungeons, greenhouse, and statue room. Express does give you your own portrait room, which makes it much easier to hear. It’s worth doing both lines. I find it easier to take my time going through express; I don’t need to tell people every few seconds to pass me up. The express line is what used to be the tour line.

MiB- skip the fake Universe and You bit and the elevator ride. Worth it once- and if Agent R is the one taking people in that first room, always worth a 15mn wait. He’s fantastic.

Spiderman- both queues have a lot to see but what you see differs.

King Kong- skip nearly everything but the main room

Yes this. I like to take the time to listen to Dumbledore and Harry, Ron, Hermione as they do tell have a story that goes with the actual ride. Plus the rooms are just so dang detailed!

-Yeah-but the main line also has a story that sets up the ride better...

Mummy reg line is fun if it isn't long.
