Are there are character meals that are really geared for boys?

Isn't there a Donald Duck one in Animal Kingdom???

Yes, that is the Tusker House Breakfast but that is one for all because they now have Daisy too.... Mickey and Goofy also come around... They took away Pluto when they moved to Tusker and replaced him with Daisy to get that cross appeal... Our boys miss seeing Pluto at that breakfast!

I would love to see something more boy orientated. I have 2 DS's and am expecting my 3rd DS in the next two weeks!

I think a Power Rangers meal, Toy Story meal (Buzz, Woody, etc), Cars, or Pirates meal is definitely more boy orientated than the gender neutral meals that are out there right now.

Yes, there are girls who would enjoy any of the meals that I suggested, however to be fair there are boys who enjoy the princess meals. My boys don't, but I've read plenty of TR's where boys adore being kissed by the princesses and love going to the Castle for breakfast.

I don't feel that the argument that there is nothing that can be exclusively boy orientated is very relevant as there is nothing that is exclusively girl orientated either. For every meal you will get a cross section of the population, the question is - is there something that can be done that is more specifically boy orientated than what is currently out there. I feel that there is and would love to see it done.

Can anyone even think of something that would appeal exclusively to boys like the princesses do to girls? I can't

Star Wars Maybe at DHS near Startours
Monsters Inc At the MK
Toy Story AT DHS
Maybe a Pirates BBQ at Beach Club

Someone posted these a few days ago. I think all would be great.

I read somewhere that Disney staff read these thread...hopefully this might get them thinking. Pirates would be great.

My daughter & I are planning the whole BBB and lunch at CRT. But when I started looking for special events for my son :confused3 Why do they seem to ignore the boys? We are doing Chef Mickey etc. but that is for both of them not specially geared to him. I understand there is a pirate cruise but I don't think he would go without us.

We are making a special trip to DTD to build a lightsaber because that's the only thing I could find.

This has been my argument for a long tie. I think disney is missing the boat and upsetting a lot of parents at the same time.

I never really paid attention to this until my sonogram showed we were having a boy! As I planned for his first WDW trip and dreamed about those in the years to come, all I could think about was how it would be great for Disney to do a more boy oriented dining experience or something along the lines of BBB where boys can go and pick out awesome costumes and get photos with cool backgrounds! I would love to see a POTC theme somewhere for sure! I know he has no idea about the characters now, but he will in a few years! Sure there may be boys here and there that love the princesses but I can imagine most would rather have an action filled more boyish theme!

I have an 8 year old son and 2 year old daughter and I feel that my son is gets gipped. :guilty:

We just went last month and we did everything gender neutral. We didn't do any princess stuff because DD doesn't know about them so I didn't want to torture DS. LOL She is starting to get into them now and next time we go we will do lots of princess things. Some he won't have to attend (tea party) but for the meals he will.

I keep trying to find boy things but all I can really come up with is DQ. :confused3 Yeah CM, CP, LTT, HV are all boy things but they are girl things too. And DQ.....I'm sure DD will have a ball there.

I want a Toy Story meal. My DS would LOVE that! A Pirate meal, CARS meal and everything else mentioned!!!!

There is the pirate cruise out of the GF marina... It is not a character meal and does appeal to girls as well... But I guess it counts as something that boys would enjoy and it does include food... My boys will be doing this for the first time on our next trip in August... It will be the first time they will be doing something without us... I love the character meals because we get to take pictures and see their priceless reactions when they see their beloved Goofy and Pluto... No picture opportunities and no seeing their faces with the cruise but I think they will enjoy all the same and we will try to enjoy the time alone (it will be very weird).

I agree and really our DS loved the pirate cruise in October. However, I still would like to see something where the parents can enjoy the time with their son(s) at Disney.

Yeah exactly!!! I have another Ds coming and would love for the two boys to be able to do something geared towards them.
