My DD age 1 1/2 and neice age 2 really like the wiggles. Although I think it would be really hard to have an attraction with them because they are "Human", I thought maybe disney would hire some look alikes to do shows and parades. Anyone seen anything?
Thanks:wave:

No, no Wiggles in Disney. Disney doesn't actually "own" The Wiggles so I doubt they would ever have anything for them there. Also, I doubt the Wiggles themselves would allow look a likes to do any shows. I don't even think they have any merchandise in the stores there.

As a side note, my poor DH was heartbroken when he realized our DS-4 is growing out of the Wiggles. DH loves the Wiggles! He actually drags me and DS to the concerts when they come to town. One of the first things he said when I told him I was pregnant was "Oh Good! 4 more years of the Wiggles!"

They do have Wiggles merchandise outside Playhouse Disney Live. At least in the cart in the middle of the square. We had to buy my ds a Wiggles guitar last week. It was a pain in the rear to listen to all day, but it was really cute to see the characters react to it. Buzz Lightyear really had a time "playing his guitar like Murray"!

I do need to post those pictures somewhere....

We are huge Wiggles fans here - myself included! We actually ran into them at WDW in October 2002 when they were there filming the Christmas parade and some commercials for Disney Channel. We've been to 3 concerts, too. I would love to see something Wiggly appear at WDW!

I had heard a rumor from a few different CM's that a Wiggles attraction was going to be added to MGM. However, I asked this question of Paul Field, the Wiggles' manager (and Anthony's brother), and he said that although it was a very nice rumor, it was in fact just that - a rumor.

Nice to see some other Wiggles fans here!

Here's a pic of all of us with Murray after a concert in Aug. 2002...

And here we are with Greg after last year's concert - Aug. 2003.

Hi, Michele! Love your name!

Are you pregnant now? I'm due with our third child July 11th.

We have the guitar, too. And the dolls, and the feathersword, and the car, and the little action figures, and the microphone...LOL! We'll go bankrupt buying Wiggles toys!

Where did you see the Wiggles in concert? We've seen them twice in Chicago and once in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

And just to give you a chuckle, when I found out I was pregnant again, I also said, "Yay!!! 5 more years of wiggling!" My husband, however was less than thrilled with the thought of that.

I think you have me and babygarrettsmom mixed together :)

We are expecting our second child April 21, a girl this time (atleast we're 99% sure it's a girl LOL)

DS is 4 now and we got lucky with the toys! He just starting getting out of the Wiggles when they started releasing all the different merchandise. All he has is his feathersword from his first concert. We do have about 5-6 videos. Once in a while he'll watch the newer episodes on Disney Channel. DH is disappointed he has no one to watch the shows with anymore.

Both concerts we saw in NYC. Once at the Beacon Theater and the last one a few months ago at Madison Square Garden. DS and DH love the live shows! I thought it was hilarous watching my husband trying to get tickets for them! He had an easier time getting tickets for big name rock concerts! I kept telling him to forget it because DS had no idea they were coming around anyway but he was obsessed! The first show he actually had to get the tickets from someone selling them on the Wiggles message boards since they sold out so fast.

I'm SO sorry for mixing up you and babygarrettsmom!!! Mommy brain, perhaps?!?

My kids just got the new DVD - Top of the Tots. I thought they were starting to phase out the Wiggles a little until we got this video. They can't get enough of it. If they're not watching the video, they're listening to the cd.

They are going to share a room soon to make room for the new baby, and they just informed me today that they want a Wiggles room. Ahhh, DH will be so pleased (NOT!). ROFL!

We have been really lucky with the concert tickets. We had 2nd row in Ft. Wayne, then 21st row in Chicago (not so good), and last year 2nd row in Chicago. We purchased a membership to the theater last year so we could buy presale tickets. Made it much easier, but $50 more expensive. Your husband sounds like me - obsessed! Believe me, my husband feels your pain...

Does your husband still post on the Wiggles message board? I've been posting there for almost 2 years. My screen name is Michele. Clever, huh? Did you know Anthony's wife is having a baby any day now?

Congratulations on your second child! We don't know what we're having yet, but we should find out in about 5 weeks. I can't wait!

That's OK for getting us mixed up! I've only got the one "baby" and he just turned 3! We actually saw the Wiggles for the first time around Thanksgiving last year. We were going to DC to visit relatives, and I saw that they were going to be there. I could only get terrible seats at the time (1 week out) for the added show, so my DH called his brother who called in a TON of favors and got us great seats - for FREE!!!

My DH is also the one who keeps wanting to go. I said since ds wouldn't know what he was missing, we would just try next time. DH insisted we go! At least the seats were great and a great price! We absolutely loved the show! It's just too cool watching your kid singing and dancing with them. I'm going to try hard to get decent seats the next time they come nearby next year.

They may not have any Wiggles attractions at MGM, but I'll always think of them singing every time they play the Playhouse Disney theme!!

Wiggles were in NYC last year!!!!??? I just went to their website and was disappointed to see they didn't have any concert dates for the US this year ( yet, I hope). It's just so cute to see DS (3.5 y.o) clicking on the icons for each song at the website and trying to sing along (humming the parts where he can't figure out the words); and, finally, after watching the Wiggles for a year, getting up and dancing with the songs when he watches the videos with his little friends. It made me want to take him to a concert. We're going to WDW in May, and it would have been great to see the Wiggles at the same time.
Thanks for sharing all your experiences, it gives one hope for what might come in the future. :)

They were just in NYC at the theater in Madison Square Garden in late October/early November 2003 for about a week. It was a really good show. The year before they played the Beacon around the same time. I don't think they ever advertised it anywhere, they didn't need too. All the tickets sold out the first day until they added a few shows. It was crazy! I thought DH was trying to get tickets to The Beatles or Rolling Stones or some huge concert! Keep checking the website for updates. There are some really nice people on the message boards and they seem to know everything before it's official. Good Luck!

Quite honestly, I don't know if DH still visits the message boards. I think I made fun of him too much so he won't tell me anymore LOL. If you see him on there, let me know! ;) I think he uses either Flash or something like that.

I saw that Anthony is expecting a baby, that's so cute! Can you imagine having any of these guys as a Dad? It must be great that they relate so well to children but at the same time, it seems they are always on the road and never home.

The Wiggles will be touring the US in April, August and November (starting out on the west coast and ending up in NYC). Here's an update from the Wiggles manager, Paul Field. http://wmb.thewiggles.com.au/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7970

Anthony's wife had the baby yesterday!!! They named her Lucia Marie Angela Field. She weighed 6lbs, 13oz and has black hair.

It must be great having a Wiggle for a dad! They were so sweet with my kids when we met them - especially Murray and Greg. :)

That's true! They seem to be in the US more than Australia these days!

Oh NO! I don't think I can handle that much stress in the house again!!! LOL

Thanks for the updates :)
