Are there any Special Events at DL during the Holiday season??

I remember reading years ago about special events at DL during I think Halloween where you paid to go to a special dinner and then you had an opportunity to buy special collectors items not for sale anywhere else. It was a very exculsive event. I remember reading about it and being very envious wishing I could go. Anyone remember this?? Do they still have these events??? I seem to recall it was centered around the Haunted Mansion when they dress it up with the NBC overlay.

They have Halloween parties on certain evenings in late September/October. It requires a separate ticket. Does not include dinner, but you can Trick or Treat throughout the park. There are special fireworks and a parade. They do overlay HM and SM for Halloween.

I remember talk about this a couple years ago and I feel it was geared toward AP holders. It was when they were trying to come up with more unique spending opportunities for AP holders who weren't spending as much as other resort guests. I don't remember it actually happening but a quick google search found this event from 2000.

Yes several years ago there were special event that you paid to get into for the privliege of speding more money on special merchandise.

I remember they had a similar event in the last 2 years, including a night at the Grand Californian, that was Haunted Mansion oriented. Similar pricepoint also. They have special events for Carsland that you can buy from $50-500. Started happening this week.
