Are there any quiet spots at MK?

We are going in Oct, which has shorter hours and we are staying off site so going back to the hotel is not possible.

However, we would still like to rest for a while with our 3DS so they don't get overwhelmed.

It might be a long stretch, but can anyone recommend any quiet spots to sit and relax ?

There's a nice path that goes behind the Racetrack, it connects toon land to over by Space Mout. I believe there are some trees back there and benchs, not many people go back there so it is a good place for a bit of a rest.

Tom Sawyer's Island has some quiet areas also.

Consider getting on the monorail and heading over to the Poly for a while. Both the lobby and the beach area offer some quiet places. Get yourself a nice tropical drink if that is your thing and relax away from the crowds! On the beach there are some nice bench swings so you can relax while the kids play quietly in the sand.

Riding on the TTA is a way to relax and stay cool.

I have some very fond memories of my young daughter (who is now 19) taking a peaceful nap in the rose garden off the walkway from main street to Tomorrowland. Go down the path and there are benches under cover. She still talks about how she slept the afternoon away in the rose garden. We tease that maybe she could get married there.

Jump on the Walt Disney RR Train and ride it a coulple of time's around the MK is nice way to get a liittle rest and have fun to.Each trip around takes about 20 to 25 minutes so 3 trips would give you a hour off your feet.DW and I do this often to get a little rest.

I personally have no problem, resting in the Hall of Presidents and have actually fallen asleep there! It's actually nice and comfortable and cool.........lol

There is a very quite place with lots of shade just behind the Christmas Shop in Liberty Square, you will also have a view of the Castle.

While there last week my nieces watched a Mother duck and her ducklings just waddle all over the place even into the shops. I have been taking breaks in this area since the early 70's.

There will be no loud noises from any of the attractions as you are surrounded by water and tress.

We found and enjoyed that quiet space behind the Christmas shop our last trip. It is very nice.

Another one not mentioned yet is the theatre in the back of the Exposition hall on Main Street. It is usually quiet and shows a loop of 3 old Disney cartoons (Steamboat Willie, Flowers and Trees and another--band leader maybe?) It is cool, dim light and has theater style seats. I must admit to having more than one nap here! I've never seen it crowded. Sometimes there will be character meet and greets in the vacinity and this could raise the noise level a little.

That is the walkway our family uses all the time at MK. It is very lightly traveled and nice for a quiet break from the hussle and bussle of the park!

I like relaxing at the theatre in the of the Kodak Exposition Hall (the place at the front of MK where you go to pick up your pictures). It's air conditioned, quiet and they have really old cartoons playing There are also some cute cutouts for great photo ops!

Take the boat over to Fort Wilderness.

Tom Sawyers Island is nice. Very peaceful. Also, right by the Haunted Mansion there is a spot with some rocking chairs. Very relaxing.

I'm glad to hear that others take some cat naps while in the parks. Or, I should say, my DH will be gloating to me when he hears this! I always get so annoyed with him when he inevitably takes a snooze in the Hall of Pres. , American Adventure, or at the little theater in Exhibition Hall. But, it is those quiet, dark places that do it everytime! HAHA!

Seriously, though, my suggestion to a quiet place to sit for awhile is where I go to "refresh" at MK- go upstairs at the Main Street train station, and there are some chairs set up next to the metal railing overlooking Main St. It is the perfect postcard view of Main St. and the castle! One of our best pictures from last year's trip, and it is now the ''wallpaper" for our computer desktop!

Area to the left of Country Bear Jamboree has rocking chairs and tree planters that you can sit on. Close to a snack stand and the country bears will venture out and pose for pictures. Trees provide pretty decent shading too.

When does your daughter nap, or does she still? My son was a bit younger, but around 3pm I'd find any dark "boring" place for little kids (Hall of Presidents, The American adventure show in Epcot) and BOOM! Asleep within 5 minutes. Just a suggestion that worked for me.

My favorite quiet spot is the wishing well next to Cinderella's Castle. It seems to be down a path that not many people travel down, and is nice and peaceful and quiet. It is right by the area where Belle holds her story time.
